Story

When it comes to repair and customising upholstery no job is too big or too small with all work considered. Whether commercial or domestic vehicles, air, land or sea The Trim Technician can solve all your trimming and upholstery needs. The trim technician is spearheaded by John Giddings, a time served and highly skilled trimmer and upholsterer whose career started with the marque TVR fifteen years ago. Over a period of eight years john became line leader at TVR whilst also working closely with Bob Taylor of the Blackpool Trim Shop, honing and diversifying his skills making him proficient in all aspects of vehicle trim and upholstery. This lead to a prestigious appointment with the Lotus group where John was involved heavily in prototype creations as part of the trim development team. In this time John produced cars for both the British and Geneva Motor Show where his work won great acclaim, even working on David Beckhams private car creating a one off design to the sports stars specifications.

Now John has formed a company with like minded highly skilled technicians to offer the ultimate in trim and upholstery production.With Kath Donnelly, another time served TVR machinist running the machine line, you can be confident in both the quality and originality The Trim Technician has to offer.

The Trim Technician uses only the highest quality upholstery fabrics as you would expect, leather, vinyl, leatherette or whatever you desire. All fabrics are sourced from the top manufacturers to meet the highest in house standards. Specialising in customisation, reupholstery, restoration and bespoke embroidery,The Trim Technician will not settle for second best when it comes to providing a fresh and unique approach to automotive customisation and restoration for everyone.
