Been here several times. The Sunday lunch is superb, always perfectly cooked. Good choice of delicious desserts. Staff are always pleasant and helpful.

We stopped in for a meal on a Wednesday afternoon at around 6:30. Kids eat for just £2.99 on Wednesdays.

The food clearly had potential. My burger was tasty and well presented. The coleslaw was homemade but wasn't quite up to scratch. Generally very good though

The problem was the bar is so close to the restraunt. Our young daughters were within earshot of the barman with tatoos on his knuckles who was effing and blinding every couple of words. Not a great environment for young kids.

I also had to ask for them to apply the discount for the kids meal as the first bill wasn't discounted. Had a sneaky feeling they were hoping I wouldn't notice the promotion and that I paid full price judging by his reaction when I questioned it at the bar.

Great drinkers pub I guess and definitely a step up on the food side from the previous managment. Not for us though.
