Visiting Ayr for a few days. Great place to eat and chill. One of the best restaurants to eat in town for food, service and ambiance. Was only in for breakfast but the food was fantastic. Had the Full Scottish, hit the spot perfectly. Well cooked and tastey. Perhaps a slice of square sausage wouldn’t have gone a miss. The black pudding and haggis my personal favourite.
Well our first visit last night and I fell in love with this place! The vibe is just perfect, the staff were brilliant and the food was great. And... A brilliant price too.nTwo courses on the festive menu for £22.95. for what we got, that was great value.nThe decor is beautifully modern, dark greens, lots of plants... Tables aren't on top of each other so even sat next to another table you don't notice them.nnCannot wait to go back and try more.nnRestauranting done right
Firstly the place looks lovely and fresh and vibrant. Staff where helpful and pleasant. The menu was great struggled to decide. The music however was very loud so struggled to hear my friends over the noise. Then beacuse a large group were in our meals where very much delayed allowing us to be there in time for a dj! I might be getting old but usually I don't go to a restaurant for dj music and like to chat with the people I've gone out with. On this occasion we couldn't hear each other speak.
Really lovely experience! Food and drinks were delightful. Staff were great and it's a lovely atmosphere inside. Probably one of the best places I've been too and I live in a big city!. I would definitely try this place out.
Considering the highly recommended nature of this location I had high expectations. I will say the ambiance and vibe are truly nice. All the finishes were lovely. The bathrooms were clean and convenient. The food was ok, not great. We ate across the street the evening before and that food set the standard. So this gets the 3/5 which really feels generous to be honest. The sandwich we were served was not at all inspired or prepared well and mostly tasted of onion and the promised sauce was mostly flavorless. The garlic toast was one of those dishes you eat and the garlic is with for the next few days. Everything else was ok. I would not go here again, but the aesthetic was truly worth the one visit. The food not so much.
