Good location in the center of Chester. Inside the old walls. Rooms are big and clean. Situated in an over 300 year old building everything is not levelled but that just adds to the hotels charm and atmosphere. Helpful and polite staff. ☺ I recommend a stay here.

Loved the place! ♡♡♡♡ Really friendly helpful staff Great breakfast Lovely secret garden to rear of property for afternoon tea. How British!!! My new favorite place in Chester.

Pretty disappointed with this hotel in all honesty. The price for two nights (£330) bordered on extortionate, particularly given that it is not high season and that the rooms were nothing special. There was no lift in the place, meaning a pretty difficult climb up quite a few flights of steps, which is not ideal for elderly guests. Furthermore, given the price we paid, it would've been nice if the coffees we had on arrival were complimentary, which was the least we felt they could've done given the rates we paid. There are surely better options in Chester for a cheaper price.

The rooms are really dark, though they are nicely decorated. We booked 3 beds in a room, only got 2 and only got 2 towels for 3 people. Friendly staff and good location

It's fun to experience staying in a traditional town house. Do bear in mind though, that old townhouses can be a little noisy when people are walking around above you. Our room was large and comfortable, and the staff were friendly.
