Brilliant service from Carol, very friendly and helpful. We ordered the Thai curry and the breaded torpedo prawns from the specials board. Both meals tasted beautiful and the kids burger was a proper steak burger. They also made a baby bowl of mash, veg and gravy for the little one. A great family restaurant. Will definitely be back. Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian part of the menu Kid-friendliness: They provided a great kids menu, made a baby bowl of mash, veg and gravy. They also gave the kids a colouring page and crayons. There is a lift also. Parking: Plenty of parking in the town. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a lift.
Very friendly pub with great Guinness. Food was very enjoyable. And even got a lift back into Belfast. What's not to like about all that ! Will go back to McBrides even though a long distance from where we live.
Dreadful Sunday lunch. Meal edible but mediocre, service good. Doubt if any of the food actually prepared in their own kitchen as tasted bland, factory produced roast beef, so evenly sliced, gravy bisto or similar, vegetables and creamed potatoes OK, roast potato undercooked, disappointed no Yorkshire pudding. Good reputation, resting on their laurels. £15.
Upstairs. Clean, tidy dining room. Lovely large windows. We'll priced honest grub. Recommended for casual dinner
Always so friendly & can’t do enough for us. Never had a bad meal in MCBRIDES Guard a great meal Recommended dishesTurkey and Ham Dinner, Summer Fruit Pavlova, Roast Beef Dinner, Lemon Roulade, Christmas Pudding

We were there for our wedding reception and had a fantastic experience. The food was amazing and all the guests loved it and we would certainly recommend it for small weddings. Iris and her staff were very accommodating and so helpful
Food was great, the restaurant is in a great location with a good view of Comber town square. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Great selection of food drink on the menu, plenty of choice, even for people who might be a bit fussier when it comes to food. Will definitely be back.
Guinness & Steak Pie with champ. What's not to like? Extremely friendly and welcoming bar lady. Spotlessly clean. Cracking prices.
I was at McBrides restaurant with a group of seniors, this is one of our favourite places. We had a good menu, I noticed quite a few people had salmon, chicken and roast beef. Everything was cooked to perfection really well presented and enjoyed by all. Delicious home made desserts followed by teas and coffee. What a pleasure just to sit down and enjoy a beautiful meal, plenty of chat no rush to leave. We'll be back again soon.
