I notice that most reviews are well out of date and are irrelevant. We 2 adults and a 16yr old visited 2 days ago and had an excellent lunch. We also learned that they had only recently ....7 days....opened as a new business. We had fish and chips, smoked salmon linguine and I had a Thai fish curry......this was easily one of the best fish curries I have ever had....full of flavour with the freshest of fish and mussels. The portions were all very generous and all excellent. The location is good and although there is a small terrace with lovely views we chose indoors to escape the sun for a while I know who would have thought. Service was friendly and charming...would definitely return.
Lovely location, we sat outside in the sunshine with a stunning view. However, lunch was not good! No crab left ....yet crab readily available from fishmonger's very close...go and buy some crab! I had mackerel and cream cheese sandwich. This was two slices of brown toast. One slice spread with scraping of cream cheese upon on which was sprinkled a few small pieces of mackerel. The other...a dry piece of toast. oh.. and the usual salad garnish. My partner had a ham sandwich...nasty supermarket processed ham ..other choice was cheese ...! Not an exciting choice! Music so loud it was like a disco and spoiled the sounds of the harbour. We will not be back.
Salad well past use by date. Squid rings very poor. Chips miserable. Service was reluctant. All my mum wanted was a simple snack on mothers day - what a disapointment for what looked like a nice spot.
Food and coffee were nice whoever we had a 50 minute wait before we received our meals - I think our order had been forgotten since we ordered coffee before our breakfast. Staff were very apologetic once brought to there attention.
The burger was simply horrible and the I had the worst eton mess ever... Even my son couldn't finish his ice cream, money wasted.
Small but nice terrace overlooking the harbour. Nice place to drink coffee
