Lovely atmosphere after an extremely disappointing meal 300 metres up the road at the Castle, this local made up for the rest of the evening.Service: 5/5
Busy pub and restaurant serving good quality food at a moderate price.Building and interior looks a little tired in places but the staff make up for it with their friendly warm customer service.
A well decorated and welcoming pub. Very comfortable with friendly staff. You can eat in the dining area or if you prefer less formal, you can eat in the bar area. The Sunday Roast and pint of Guinness were delicious.
The pub itself is really nice but the food wasn't as good as hoped. Mains were okay but the chicken starter was overdone and hard and the sticky toffee pudding desert was served fridge cold with tepid custard. Should have sent it back really.Food: 3/5
I wasn’t told what wasn’t available on the menu so was disappointed that my choice wasn’t available. The food I was provided with was ok - not amazing. Soggy veg. But strangest of all, hence my 1 star for ‘Atmosphere’, the lights were going on and off literally every minute. Bit worrying if they were tripping the fuse switch. Health & Safety. Restaurant looked tired too. Dietary restrictions: I can’t eat red meat, and the only choice available was vegi lasagne. But they did find some chicken = not lovely
Celebrated my fathers 80th Birthday on a Sunday lunchtime at The Three Houses. Food was excellent and the staff could not do enough to make the meal and the occasssion a memorable one. They added their own special touches to the day. Would definitely recommend. Food was excellent especially the Sunday lunch.
Had Christmas lunch here today and it was the best I have had for a while. The food was lovely with all the usual trimmings. Prawn Cocktail great and Cheescake mouth wateringly good. Great service with friendly staff and lovely comfy lounge with an open fire. Had a lovely Christmas atmosphere. Went with three friends and we will definitely be calling here again.

It was always a fabulous venue with great food and welcoming atmosphere. It will be sorely missed after becoming a recent victim of the cost of living crisis and frightening utility bills.Food: 5/5
We held a wake for a family member here and the experience was of an excellent standard thanks to Lynn. She was so lovely to deal with and made a huge effort to accommodate dietary requirements for a fully vegetarian and vegan buffet. Her communication was great throughout and we discussed ideas for vegan foods that she was not so familiar with. She took everything on board and what she produced was fantastic with a variety of tasty foods - we would highly recommend.
