This was a great place for breakfast and dinner. Went here 3 nights and mornings in a row and really enjoyed the food.nnIt's very busy, book in advance.nnThe staff while busy weren't the best. Left at the door waiting for 10 minutes before seen twice. And a little rude at times too.nnThe food while everything on the adult menu was amazing, needs a little help when it comes to the kids menunnOverall a good experience
Sadly if I could give 0 stars I would, visited yesterday, the service started positive but very quickly turned sour. Our server the ever so miserable Leah, definitely didn't want to be working. We ordered one of their burgers, for it to come with about 5 chunky chips rather than the skin on fries as stated. No attentiveness when it came to serving, constantly walking past empty glasses, without asking if we needed anything else. When we did, we asked for 2 cocktails easy ones and again the lovely Leah rolled her eyes and somewhat sighed. These cocktails were awful! Not at all happy, was booked to go the second day too but happily spent money somewhere else.
Lovely friendly welcome. We were a party of 6 and had not pre- booked. Initially informed we could sit 4 and 2. A short time later we were accommodated as a 6. All staff very warm and helpful. Overall a delightful experience and we appreciated the personal touches from Jo, Lauren, Liz, Jake and chef Rich. Thank you.
Thought we were stopping by for a carvery. They put it all on the plate at the counter, keeping it warm under lamps. Parsnips and roasts were too well done, the beef too pink for me. Unfortunately I was very ill that night, can't blame anything else as I had nothing else to eat.
Great location next to the hotel nAll good nFriendly staff good beer and food.
