The Three Compasses, Dalston
"This Hackney pub is hundreds of years old, and we’ve strived to stick to it’s roots as a proper East End boozer. No pretension, just amazing local craft beers, the best pub food & burger pop-ups, lovely beer garden, friendly staff, major sports fixtures on projectors, awesome music with live party DJs at the weekend, Drag Bingo, Game of Thrones & RuPaul Drag Race viewing parties, and the best pub quiz in Dalston. We're a home from home local pub and won the Time Out award for Best Pub in Hackney E8."

Real chill late night spot. Kitchen was closed when I went after 11p.m., but you could still get drinks and enjoy the punk-ish playlist. Menu looked very tempting, though, with some creative and vegan options. Would go back to eat and drink for sure.
Watched the World Cup final here, so spent quite a bit of time at the bar. Good options are good and the staff was very quick and attentive.
This pub has everything you might need: good selection of beers, amazing food, nice music and friendly staff! I am so glad I live just around the corner! When the time came to find a place to celebrate my birthday I had no doubts, and my friends haven't been left disappointed. Thank you guys!
Dirty as hell. Not really cheap and the selection of beers was local, but really bad. Had 3 pints and left somewhere else only because I managed to get a table outdoors. Smell indoors was an unbearable mix of sweat/vomit/90 year old dirt. Will not come back.
Good little pub with a great vibe. Awesome burgers by Filthy Buns, I highly recommend the Smokin Gun. Every burger on the menu has a vegan version which was good as we had two vegans in our group.
Nice place. I went there with my friend to watch football match. We enjoyed the drinks there but as kitchen was not working so we ordered the pizza from outside and it was fun experience.
We came here last Sunday to watch the footie the less said about that the better. We found it to be spacious and felt like they had thought about the Covid rules and really stuck to them. The screens were big for the match, the service was quick and thorough and the house wine was nice. We didn’t eat as we had just been for a roast but it looked like burger and chips sort of deal nothing fancy. There’s an area out front for smoking. It wasn’t overly busy at that point although I know it can get busy here. I wouldn’t say this is a family place and I couldn’t tell if it was dog friendly but certainly a good place to come for a boozey drink with friends or to watch the football
Needed a quick fix and had the dogs with us so decided the Three Compasses was probably the best bet! We had a chicken Katsu bun and the double shxxburger thing … anyway food was fantastic. Fresh cooked and honest. Staff super friendly and the toilets were immaculate. Will definitely pop back when in the area. Thank you everyone working here!
Ive ALWAYS loved this place, had many good night here, the quiz is really fun, lots of beers to pick from. Nice outside table area for smoking. And the filthy buns guys cooking up a storm in the small kitchen, such good burgers.
Great pub. Good food. Caters well for non-drinkers and drinkers alike.
