Booked here for a birthday lunch and it did not disappoint. The theme and decor are gorgeous, perfect details and impressive service. Catered fantastically for veganism with great alternatives. Fabulous cocktail menu. Will definitely be back when we visit Dorset again.
Excellent food presentation. however, fat chips were soggy and not crispy at all, and the prawn on prawn cocktail was overcooked. Today, special fish lemon sole was not at all cooked at perfection, really dull taste overcooked baked fish . Good taste of mash potato, but the sausages were chewy. Desserts were ordinary Good customer services. I've been looking forward to coming to this place for so long as I was recommended this restaurant as one of a must visit in West Bay , really worth it . I will come back just for a drink and will eat if there are major changes in the kitchen
Wow! What a find. A gem in West Bay. I booked lunch in the dog friendly part, The Station House, and it was perfect. From the moment we arrived the service was fantastic. Staff were tentative & super friendly. The first thing that is a wow and hits you is the decor and this lends itself to give it super cool vibes and great ambience. You could tell from the menu the food was not going to disappoint… well, it was first class!! Delicious. I know when I’m impressed as I’ll be happy to then have coffee and a desert. Definitely going back. Next time without our dog and go for dinner in Brunel.
A truly special evening. I thought I might be disappointed? But no a truly great experience. The Station Kitchen should have a Michelin star. I have been lucky in life to eat at some very high end restaurants, The Station Kitchen certainly comes in my top 3 eateries. Made even more special by meeting Ross and his son Hugo. Great atmosphere and service. Also picked up a few great recipes to try at home. Would also recommend the 3rd Rock Sauvigon blank, I'm adding that to my cellar. Parking: Right along side 2 large public car parks.
This restaurant is just amazing!!! The decor, the atmosphere, the staff and especially the food are fantastic. Visited twice over the new year and each time we were very impressed. So much that we have booked again for August, cannot wait
Really nice restaurant in West Bay, service and food excellent, Sunday roast was really good and everything well cooked, staff very accommodating and not rushed at all. Very family friendly but chic/classy/funky at the same time. Both carriages have lots of history which was noted in the menu which was a nice touch. Would I eat here again, yes, would love to come back for the murder mystery night.
Had a fabulous evening celebrating my husbands 65th birthday at the Station Kitchen. Quirky decor, good selection of gins, fantastic food and very attentive staff - in particularly Iris who was absolute charming. Would highly recommend .
This place is absolutely magical. For a start the location is brilliant. Our guests found it easily. The best thing about this place is the care and attention to detail that Claire, Ross and the staff put in to all aspects of the restaurant. We wanted an intimate wedding reception with good food and a quirky venue that combined our love of history, and vintage glam decor. We got it by the bucket load. From the start the station kitchen helped us with menu planning, order of the day, table decorations you name it. They catered for dietary requirements very well and they’re selection of non alcoholic beverages surpassed most places I’ve been to. OMG the food!! all I’ve heard for the last week from guests is how good the food was. I had Asian style sea bass followed by a passion fruit mousse it was incredible. Sorry for rambling but they really did go above and beyond. It was the best reception we could’ve hoped for. I’ve been informed they recently got a license for wedding ceremonies and I would recommend them to anyone looking to get married.
Absolutely outstanding, traveled over an hour to revisit this restaurant and it blew us away again. Incredible food, great atmosphere & perfectly located. Can reccomended highly enough!
What an absolute gem of a place this is! I have enviously watched many friends visit the station kitchen over the past few years, and finally managed to get rid of the kids for a night and take the wife out for a birthday treat. We loved it, really relaxed feel, and first class food...couldn't have been better! We will be back!
