First time we had visited Stow, and the Talbot. Between us we had some tasty whitebait, a perfect piece of ribeye steak, cooked to the chef's recommendation, lovely steak and ale pie and a great bottle of wine. Staff were also chatty and friendly. If we are able to come back this way soon, we'd definitely pay it another visit.
Excellent food, very large portions. We couldn't finish the meals. But the food was fantastic. Well worth a visit. There is also a wide range of meals.
Visited here on the off chance during our stay at Oddington. Enjoyed a fantastic evening meal here in Stow on the Wold with my wife and son.
Service was friendly and personable. Food was solid but not extraordinary. Stick to traditional pub fare and you won't be disappointed. I recommend the pork and chive sausages.
Had a lovely lunch here on Sunday! The pork loin roast was a little dry but overall an enjoyable meal.
