I've been there a few days ago with my colleagues. Staff are charming. Food is very tasty and it serves in a generous portions. Close to the pub there is the Falmer pond, a nice place to go for a walk. I really recommend it.
We went here for the first time for a Sunday roast and were not disappointed - excellent food with as many Yorkshire’s and potatoes that you want. I had the nut roast and it was great. Friendly and efficient service and really nice decor - not too crowded and not rushed. Highly recommended.
Lovely local pub. Felt nostalgic like stepping back in time. The bar manager and staff were great, and the food was just right after a long Sunday country walk. Will definitely be back.
Friendly service, lots of customer parking and a lovely ploughman's lunch for £12.
Very nice terrace , with great view over Cuckmere haven. We drank Harvey's 4% IPA. It was lush. Nice bathroom. Free car parking for patrons.
I absolutely love this pub. One of the best in the county. To give you an idea how well worth a visit here is.. I live in Shoreham a town with 20+ drinking establishments within the town limits trust me, we do a pub crawl every year and I am quite happy to drive 20 minutes down the road to be warmly welcomed at The Swan. There are several reasons why.. They are a proper beer drinkers pub. No music piped in. Open fires when needed and house beers you’ll find nowhere else two examples being Hacker Pschorr & Palmers. Plus friendly knowledgeable staff who don’t intrude but have a funny story if you wish to engage. They do also have sport on but with 3 separate bar areas, if that’s not your thing then you can relax If only all pubs were like this!
A super pub for a beer lover. Palmers Ales a long way from Dorset. Served by knowledgeable and charming staff. Ploughman's, fish cakes, pasta all good. Definitely a recommendation.
Tasty evening meal and a very warm and welcoming service. Beacon lit to celebrate the Queen's platinum jubilee really created a community spirit
Friendly, traditional pub attracting a mixed crowd of regulars made up of Falmer and Brighton locals then add the odd uni Student. The beer gardens are Suntraps and bike and dog friendly Match days are busy but the Burger and Pint on this day is good value. Pub grub is always good quality and plenty of it. Cosy at Christmas with fireplaces, fab Xmas meal and a raffle. Now has a Barn available for parties. One of my favorites.
We were here for a wake. The buffet was delicious and there were generous quantities. The warm scones were very tasty. The staff were all very friendly. The room we were in was very cosy.
