Great mixed grill for the money, loved the seniors menu which meant there wasn't a load of food left over. Very friendly staff and quick service. Beer selection was good too.
I've lived locally for 41 years, and this is now my go to pub. It's vastly improved in the last few years, and food, service and atmosphere are great. If you like nachos, I can't recommend theirs highly enough. They deep fry the tortillas, so they're lighter, crisper and have a much cleaner flavour than the typical Doritos style ones most places serve. Zoom in on the bottom right of the pic. The only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars was a recent incident where we were waiting on drinks 15mins or so after food arrived. Asked at the bar, and were told that they were short staffed with only one person serving. Given that it wasn't too busy, and we only ordered a bottle and a pint, it shouldn't have been an issue, but it's understandable that things get delayed or forgotten at times.
Essy to book a table online if you plan to eat. Good food for a pub and reasonably prices with a good selection to choose from. Staff are very polite and are a credit to pub chain . Had a nice sunday roast. See photo attached.
Lovely food and great team working. Went for our anniversary dinner and the staff couldn't have been more friendly. The decorations is such a good idea of useing old alcohol bottles and creates a lovely atmosphere. Definitely recommend.
This pub has a great atmosphere with some lovely food! The Sunday roast that they serve here is really tasty and delicious. The drinks are pretty reasonable in price and the staff members are very professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place for the family
I came here with my 12 yr old daughter for lunch before Harry Potter. I wasn't sure what to expect as the prices seemed more reasonable than some of the other near by options, however I was pleasantly surprised. My daughter was immediately impressed by the music - Taylor Swift, Avril Lavigne, One Direction - teen pop! Food was of good quality and nice price. The staff were friendly and helpful. My one criticism were the men's toilets - a bit smelly. Otherwise a great place to hang just before visiting Harry Potter.
Very, very slow service for food. Was told after we ordered and paid that the food would be an hours wait, was very frustrating as we could of gone to another place to eat as we had children with us and had booked in advance. A couple sat down next to us and was eating within 15 minutes even though they sat down 20 minutes after us and ordered the same meal. It may have been an off day as they seemed to be massively under staffed, the lady who delivered our food just dumped it down on the end of the table without a care in the world and just didn’t seem to care about the customers or the food she was serving. After a very lengthy wait the food was mediocre at best, presentation was poor and I had cold salad under my hot meat on a mixed grill?? Sadly this was our first and possibly last visit to this establishment.
Great family pub serving great food and plenty of different ales.. service was great, food was very nice and the price very reasonable. Definitely a place I'll be visiting again!
Quite a busy evening as it was Saturday night and We had 20 of us celebrating a birthday. Food was served promptly and very tasty. Staff were friendly and pleasant
