My sister just graduated from this school, she studies there for 11 and 12tu grade. Most of the teachers are really supportive and AP’s as well, in fact all school staff. Graduation ceremony held yesterday and it was very professionally well organized.
I moved here from a very small school but I love it! Summit has an incredible theatre program, and amazing directors. Most teachers actually care although like everything some do not, but that’s to be expected. Summit is a very very diverse school, But that just gets you ready for life. There are some fights and cockroaches but not everything is perfect.
Alot of the teachers didn't really care about the students but if you're lucky youll get Mrs. Ellington, a absolutely amazing government teacher who loves teaching!
This is the 3rd year my daughter has been in Mansfield ISD and while I had my doubts when she was in middle school they have been reconfirmed since she started attending Summit. The teachers do not care. My daughter is in PAP geometry and is struggling. I reached out to the teacher and Assistant Principal and her guidance counselor and they would rather see her make a failing grade versus moving her to a normal Geometry class. The very unfortunate part is the teacher told me herself "Well the class is harder, I don't review prior to tests and quizzes for my Pre AP because it is expected that they understand the material." Two things come to mind, what if they don't understand and in many cases this is their FIRST exposure to high school and this subject. You would think that if your child is struggling they would reach out to you. They don't. And when you reach out to them they ask all sorts of irrelevant questions: Household demographics why does it matter, but for the record yes she lives in a 2 parent household, did anyone attend college why does that matter, but yes, both of us, I have my MSM and CLSSBB. My question is solely related to the success of her and this class. My recommendation is if you want them to learn don't send them to SUMMIT.. They only want a paycheck there.
Worst school ever! I did not learn anything from this school and they did not prepare me for college at all. Do not send your kids here, send them somewhere else.
The 7am fights make my day and help my will to live. Summit is real for the fights.
Went there to watch Spring Creek Tournament girls basketball and enjoyed the atmosphere
Work study going on every day for studentship or student and in future you will get the certificate maybe or not
I loved it.....The Best School my kids have attended!!!!
It is a good high school my cousin attend here
