Great first impressions on arrival, the hotel is furnished nicely. Nothing looking worn and tired. Warm welcome on reception and was shown up to my room. Single room was spacious and immaculate. It was a warm day so was pleased to see a fan in the room although this covered me in dust when first switched on. Bathroom looked very new and was a lovely shower. Location is good, only 5 minute walk to town. Only issue would have been the stingey breakfasts, only one bacon, one sausage but a huge pile of mushrooms and tomatoes. You could probably find a healthier portioned breakfast elswhere in the town for better value. Would stay here again if I found myself in Knutsford.
Rang up to cancel our stay well before the day and money £200 was still taken out. On ringing the hotel they had absolutely no interest in the situation. A genuine miscommunication somewhere but still complete disregard for what I had to say. Disgusting! A number of reviews have commented on the poor level of customer service, and I can see why. Will be taking this further, plenty of excellent hotels in knutsford so don’t book here!
One of my favourite places in England. I lived near Knutsford when we lived in England and this hotel stands out. They were flexible with check in and this hotel has a lot of character and an interesting history. The rooms were well appointed and clean and the staff were flexible and professional. They were also informative re train schedules and Tatton Park. If you are tired of chain hotels without atmosphere I reccomend the Longview.
Lovely little hotel, the rooms are large and clean, much nicer than a generic premier Inn etc. The breakfast took a while to arrive as it was cooked for me rather than a buffet, excellent sausages. The only small complaint is that the room was very warm even with the window wide open all night
Possibly worst experience had at any hotel ever. Poor customer service from staff, very unaccomodating and unhelpful towards guests who clearly do not know the area. Had originally booked to stay 2 nights while attending a wedding, but checked out early as it was so unsatisfactory, room we were given was atrocious and vastly overpriced. Very unclean, bed and floor covered in hair upon arrival, bathroom not clean either, fixings and furnishings in a really bad condition, window blind was broken, all coat hooks broken, and whole style was that of something I would expect 20 years ago. Walls are paper thin, kept up all night and through the morning by the noise of other guests having sex gross right!?. Turns out during the night another guest had left due to believing to find bed bugs in their room...Quick tip to the staff at Longview Hotel, if a guest leaves and complains because they believe their room has bed bug don’t then stand in the corridoor very loudly discussing amongst yourselves whether you do or do not have bed bugs. The fact that you were all so unsure and that you were publicly broadcasting the problem basically just makes guests think you definitly do have bed bugs and then so do the guests. Terrible hotel I would thoroughly recommend people avoid.
I stayed there for 5 months whilst consulting for an IT firm in Knutsford. The staff took such great care of me and catered to my needs. I was a night shift worker and as such made odd requests like 4 AM breakfast, midday breakfast and 2 AM dinner. They always delivered and after the first few weeks they almost predicted my ants and needs. The owner even took me on his rounds when I was off and bored or when I needed to visit a Warrington shop and getting a taxi would cost me extra. I`m from Zimbabwe in Southern Africa. I even created my own sandwich Prawn and something I can recall which I wonder if they still do. THANK YOU AND STAY SAFE LONGVIEW.
The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly. We did not have a meal there so I don't know what the standard of the meals were like.
The room was spacious and clean. The décor was a little strange. It was as if the owners let the furnishings get out-dated and old fashioned and then suddenly decided to run with it and stick a few 1950s ornaments in there so that it appears intentional.
Small room situated in a separate building nearby converted terraced house. Shower not working properly. TV remote only worked if within 2ft. Bed/pillows not very comfortable.
Good hotel for the price, needed a bed for the night while in Knutsford. The room was small but adequate. Didn't eat so can't comment on the food.
