Have frequented the Star many times over the years, but last week we visited for their steak night and it didn't disappoint - lovely cut of steak and a good wobbly panna cotta

Super friendly staff, lovely old fashioned proper pub building and really reasonable prices too. Nice to have a tasty meal and a drink without breaking the bank. We will be back

Great place to drop in. A great Sunday lunch with tonnes of veggies to share. Helpful and friendly staff. Watch out for the gorilla in the garden!

Very friendly welcome to this fine old pub, choice of two cask ales, smallish interior but extended by canopy style extension to rear courtyard. The other side of this is a very comfortable area in the sun or under shades.nWell worth seeking out.
