Outstanding little pub we run Westbourne Serving Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Club at the veteran run Stags head in Westbourne mid month as part of our community outreach. Highly recommend the stagshead.
Came for a spare of the moment Sunday Lunch, was no problem getting seated; the carvery is split into two seatings which meant no queues or waiting and the food was cooked freshly.nBeef, Turkey and Pork on offer, or all three at no extra cost for the bigger appetite! The meat was cooked to perfection as was the good selection of veg. Cauliflower Cheese to die for and piping hot gravy. Forgot to take a pic I was too keen to tuck in!nChilled atmosphere, friendly staff and perfect carvery - highly recommended.
Yesterday 16th April 24, we had a family gathering at the Stags Head. On arrival we were made very welcome, the buffet was really nice with a variety of freshly made sandwiches, including a vegetarian selection. The atmosphere was very homely. The lady behind the bar was really lovely. Thank you Stuart and Anita, all the family were very impressed. Also my grandson and I recently had a Sunday roast which was brilliant.
First time going to this pub, we went for a Sunday carvery. The food was nice and it was good quality veg and local meats. The landlord and lady couldn't have been any nicer and made a lovely fuss over my 1 year old and were very happy to give him a little extra attention - which always goes down well! Deserts cover a good range of options and round off the meal very nicely. The pub dog was super well-behaved and friendly. Lovely, welcoming atmosphere.
