One of best gastro pubs in Warwickshire. We walked from Leamington Spa through the fields to build up an appetite. We took an uber back for £8.  I had the pheasant roast, which was a special. It was good. Really tender. The veg is always good  at the Stag.

A fantastic Sunday lunch for a large group of us. It's a little pricey but totally worth it as the food was excellent, a large portion and can't fault the service. I'd love to visit again when in the area.

Fab pub set in the county side. Took the doggies outside and it’s very smart both outside and in. The staff are very well presented and super friendly including towards the dogs. The platter was fantastic.

Not the first time we’ve eaten here and it won’t be the last. The festive menu had a really nice piece of hake with crushed potatoes also a divine belly pork with a jus I could’ve drunk by the bucket full. If I could find any fault I think the portion sizes are very slightly in the small size. Service was good and swift as usual.

Awesome place for lunch. Best to book as it gets busy around lunch on the weekend. Food is delicious and very filling.

Really lovely place. Very attentive staff. I was on a date and was so enamoured with her that I forgot to leave a tip for which I'm equally sorry and embarrassed. The food was so good that we'll go back yes, she's still with me and I'll leave a double tip next time.  Atmosphere is a strange thing to judge. I spent all night staring at my date. The pub was quiet like any other "middle of nowhere" pub is, which was perfect for us. Just don't mistake my 5* assessment as somewhere kicking with life.

My husband and I have just had the best experience at this beautiful friendly pub.  The meal and service  was outstanding.  Richard was the perfect host made us most welcome.  Parking: Richard offered to organise a taxi so we could have some alcoholic beverages and advised that we could leave our car in the car park and there was cctv operating in the car park.  Dietary restrictions: We was asked if we had any dietary requirements allergies etc before we ordered our meal.

Excellent service and great food. Menu had some lovely options. Only reason I have dropped 1 star off food because steak was cooked as I asked but was a little bit cold. The pepper sauce saved the day! Overall experience was great Food: 4/5

The Stag has long been our destination of choice for great pub food. Our experience today was bang average. The service matched the room…cold! We were asked what we wanted to drink before we’d even taken coats off. Steak and sauce were flavourless. Panna cotta was almost solid. Everything else was average at best. Maybe it was just because it was a lunch service, but we will think twice before going again.

First time we came it was great;  Have visited recently and seen such an enormous decline in the service; only one member of staff out of a 7+ team seemed to care about good service and was really friendly - she wasn’t even the manager!  Food quality has taken a dive considering the prices; sadly won’t come back which is a shame because in the right hands this should be a roaring success.  Warning to visitors driving - limited parking.
