Small bar, doesn't really get busy.. owner took TV's out so if you looking for a sports game not the place. They have few events thru the week of different variety, Pride Social / Ladies Night / Quiz evening. Reality cheap booze. Great venue for locals.. at bus stop so transport no issue and trains close by. Not a place for a big party, maybe just a meeting point to start a night in Enfield. Rooms I have never been in but sounds as if they are always booked with separate entrance to bar.
Not busy on the night, but took a bit of time to get served. Little suggestion, us customers appreciate a nod of recognition and we're happy to wait. Lovely spot away from the town and attracted a few dog walkers and young people. Happy to returnService: 4/5
It ruined Valentine’s Day. No clear signs available when finding the guesthouse. We had to go up stairs and wait outside as the barman was not there and sorting the bar out.In the end we got our room number 29. Did not like to talk to the guy found him quite rude and creepy. Going too the room, had to go up more stairs even to our own private bathroom. In our room, we found cabinets broken, stains on the bed, broken window, we were confused on where get clean water so we can get a drink, had to get it from the small sink in the bath room only boiling hot or cold water, couldn’t wash as we did not want to burn ourselves. Boiler in bathroom and lights hot and heating on constantly causing it to be really hot. I have epilepsy and heat can cause a seizure. Luckily never occurred but I would’ve never got my money back even due to mental issues and their problems. Only one pillow each, in fact my fiancé got a bad back from the bed and was an uncomfortable night sleep. I would also describe it as a health hazard and discriminative as disabled people would not be able to get to the rooms due to a lot of stairs. Rooms need a makeover, dirty , chipped painted walls, broken decor, dirty chair, broken dirty blinds, broken windows that don't shut properly have peeling paint and mould build up. Bathroom toilet broken, broken toilet seat, no plug in sink, walls badly half painted and grimy, tiled floor chipped and broken, shower mould and grot everywhere. No place to hang a towel. Shower had half used soap and body wash and lots of mould build up. Obviously not cleaned properly.On the plus side bedding clean, no mattress protector but mattress cleanish. Pillows very thin and only 1. Overpriced accommodation. Noisy loud beat music from pub. DON'T STAY Here!!!!!
Visited on a Tuesday for the weekly quiz night. Had a good laugh. Bar staff great. Useful for the bus terminal services.. Toilets seriously let this place down for the ladies.Service: 5/5
Can't comment anything else except the pub. Drab, soulless, overpriced, empty. Seems to fancy to be some sort of gay destination. Service was nice. Nobody else on the pub. Beer OK but pricey.
Really poor quality hotel, our room was in such a sorry state. The window was broken, bathroom was not in good condition looked disgusting, shower was broken, no hot water from sink and toilet seat broken plus the ventilation was knackered too. Thank god was only 1 night. The owner's should be ashamed of themselves leaving it in this condition! #don't stay here!
Well what can I say, the worst place I’ve stayed. Made the mistake of booking this as the location was perfect. Really wished I’d booked a premier or travelodge and paid out for taxis. Fortunately it was just the wife and myself on this trip so we made the best of it. Only read the reviews the day before checking in and thought to myself surely these are just one offs, well couldn’t believe every bad review was spot on. We even went and bought our own toilet rolls as couldn’t find anyone when we needed them. Practically everything was broken in the room from all the hooks to the toilet seat. Also I’ve never seen so much sealant used in one place, definitely an experience we’ll never forget. Only one towel in the room and asked for another one, which fortunately they could accommodate, although we’re told it’s the last one so sorry if anyone else staying needed a towel. Still you live and learn, and would strongly recommend not staying here.
You get what you pay for here, luckily I paid almost half the price for two nights I stayed here. Yes it’s basic, but my issues would be the night buses finish up outside, the walls are very thin to the point that I could hear the guy in the next room snoring. I signed a contract saying I wouldn’t smoke in the room I don’t smoke or I would get fined £150, the issue here is that the room smelt very strongly of stale smoke. If you’re going to pay the full price stay in a travelodge or premier inn.
It was beyond basic. A broken window, boarded up, which was covered in mould. Dark, dingy, no spark or luxury whatsoever. In fact it was so bad, I stayed out extra late to avoid going to bed there Absolutely horrible I will tell all my Friends. I am very sad to say... It's possibly the worst accommodation I've stayed in ever! Ps.. that was just the Bedroom, the shared Bathroom was even worse. No toilet roll, soap, and the fixtures and fittings were broken and filthy dirty. I have many photos to back this up. Rooms: Not fit for purpose. It was below the standard required.
