As a current student of Springfields Academy as of the time I wrote this review, this school sucks. First off, the staff here are not that good. They don't deal with bullies that well, and they are taking everything away from the students. ELSA, Therapy, you name it. They are taking it all away. I've been in this school since 2020, and Mr. Hamp was the best headteacher they had. Ever since Mr. Hamp left the school as headteacher, the school has had a big downfall and is not worth going to. The school just wants to make the students miserable! For example, they introduce something that a lot of students like or even something that HELPS them tons, then they take it away like 2-3 weeks later. If I could leave the school, I would. There are so many 1 star reviews on this school, and I agree with every single one. The current headteacher is no better, and is doing nothing to change the school or make it better. Also, they have so many new rules. They are either stupid or downright strict. ALSO, they do these pupil voice sheets where the pupils can write down their views on the school, and they don't listen to them at all. In short, they don't listen to the pupils. And they treat the teachers better than the pupils! AND ONE FINAL THING, the teaching sucks. My class had exams coming up for maths, and they had been taught basically nothing at all, which isn't good for education. THE ACTUAL FINAL THING, is that too many students set off the fire alarm and the school limits so many areas that are in the school. There’s a big field behind the so called ‘New Building’ or whatever and a big field near the school entrance that we can’t even use. This isn't the school I remember and used to love, I honestly wish I left the school sooner.
I went to this school from 2003-2008 and it was a great school especially our footy team we smashed them all, they should have kept Mr Williams
Don't send your child here. I spent 5 years here and it has been one I wish I could forget. The range of qualifications you can get at this school is terrible as they focus on life and living OCR and entry levels more then in my case as GCSE class the GCSE's themselves. The school focuses to much on useless qualifications you don't want nore will ever use or need rather then what is need. I only had 1 year to cover all of triple biology, English literature and language and still not a good amount of time for maths GCSE which we should have had between 2-4 years.nnNot only this but every day you will hear homophobic, racist, sexist and ableist comments shouted and screamed by the students and teachers do nothing to stop or prevent it. The school also does nothing to prevent lies and rumors since I was also assault and lost the majority of people closest to me because someone who was close to me lied about me. I'm not sure what about but it must have been very bad and luckily everyone left the person who started the lie and sadly the school continued to do nothing about it.nnAnd lastly if you bring your child here they won't be able to get GCSE'S and will only get qualifications they will not want or use.nnOnly bring you child here if they can take a ton of punches a day.
Went here 16 years ago and some of the teachers were amazing, Mrs white mr kale to name a few. Ah the good old days when the teachers could batter or strangle you and we deserved it. Bring it back I say, keep the kids in line.
my son Sam has been bullied all his life and this school doesn't help the poor thing one tiny bit and im outraged whit the staff's behavior towards the children. absolutely rubbish do NOT go to
