We had a great meal - I had a Stilton and beef pie - so yummy! My partner had lamb, which looked amazing. Also, the staff were very helpful when accommodating some dietary needs we had. Staff were very friendly, we spoke to 3 different people whilst we were there, but service was seamless.nBeer and wine was nAll in all 2 very happy diners. Thank you
Ok, so just for your information, I've only rated as 4* because it asks about the rooms. As I didn't stop here I thought it would be hard to rate properly.nWe only really went In for a pint on the way home. Beer was nice with plenty of choice. Decor is really nice and well thought out.nWe didn't have food, but the people on the table next to us did and it looked lovely.nToilets are upstairs and I didn't see an accessible one, so I can't comment wheelchair or baby changing facilities.nUnless I missed something, car parking is on the street outside.nReally nice place in a nice town
Excellent bar and restaurant with its own micro-brewery selling good beers at decent prices and interesting glasses. The restaurant is a real find, great food and perfectly cooked and presented with a good choice of wines by the bottle but also by the glass, again at sensible prices. Nice atmosphere and very good, friendly service both at the bar and in the restaurant, there’s also an outside seating area which is great for pre-dinner drinks or just a social evening. Altogether a great place to eat or just drink and I thoroughly recommend it
We came for our second visit this week after such a lovely first visit a week ago. However, it wasn’t quite the visit we expected. On our second drink, we asked one of the barman to top up one of our drinks as felt the head was larger than it needed to be, we were greeted with a response of why? And a face that look appalled that we had asked. The drink wasn’t topped up and we were made to feel very uncomfortable - luckily the quality of the beer made up for the poor attitude of the barman.
We had lunch here on Easter weekend and can't rate this highly enough. This is a clean, friendly, pretty and dog friendly venue.nnLots of great microbrew options. Our meal was 10/10, the best fish and chips and scampi we've had. Staff were also lovely and helpful.nnIt's tricky to get parked, but well worth a visit. We'll definitely be back if we're in the area again.
