We were so pleased to find great Indian food in Watchet. The service and meals were excellent. The portions were generous and the prices were very fair. The papadums, along with all the sides, were very creative and flavorful. The mixed tandoori grill was excellent. It's great to return to my original home town and country to enjoy wonderful food.

Insane food! Had the Onion Bhaji, Chicken Pakoras and samosas to start and have to say these were insane! Same with the mains. The team were short staffed, but we were extremely impressed 10/10 service from both the servers! Well done spice merchant!

I'm sad to say this is my new favourite Indian restaurant; we are holiday makers and not local, so I'm gutted!  Staff are attentive and really lovely. The food was 10/10 and was cooked in very good time; considering the restaurant was busy with other dining guests we were surprised we weren't waiting around! Licenced bar in restaurant which wasn't essential to us but really handy, as a lot of places are 'bring your own bottle' which we didn't have with us. We will definitely be visiting again when we are in the area and will recommend to anyone and everyone!

First time visitor to The Spice Merchant. What a great asset to lovely Watchet.  Friendly welcome. Great service. Yummy food. Buzzing atmosphere... What's not to like?  Looking forward to returning soon....  Parking: Car park next door Ok

After reading reviews & discovering they would deliver to Doniford bay we decided to try a takeaway. We were honestly delighted!! Website, food, delivery all 1st class. The food arrived hot & was truely delicious. Good portions, great taste, good value. Will definitely eat from here again.

Excellent family-friendly Indian restaurant in the heart of Watchet, in a location that struggled to make an impact for years. The spice merchant has for some years now been a fantastic addition to the options available to diners in the town. Friendly service and great food.

put 5 stars but really thought 4.7 but gave you the extra 0.3 points for the amazing chips.. so astonishing they were to die for. keep up your amazing chips  Parking: wasn’t great, nobody parked correctly in the car park opposite

Lovely restaurant. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, the food was outstanding. Great location as we got a post dinner walk and watched the sunset. Thanks for a great evening.

Our go to meal out! The curries are exceptional. We have eaten a meal in every establishment within a 12 mile radius and The Spice Merchant is by far the best. Consistent service and quality food. Pubs have had their day. They need to up their game.

Lovely warm welcome from the staff. Food was lovely and tasty and great value for money. Brilliant service, the waitress even wheeled the pram to settle the baby so that my daughter could eat her meal. Would highly recommend and would definitely go there again.
