Quite often get useless unprofessional receptionists not meeting your needs to speak with a professional. Very frustrating when your calling for help and you pay you NI's and taxes. The Doctors and nurses are brilliant when you can speak to them
Receptionists have always been polite and kind. I have always been given a same day appointment with a doctor for my daughter if needed. Everyone has been professional and supportive, despite the unprecedented demand the NHS and particularly GPs have.
The service and care that my family and I have received at Shirehampton Group Practice has been above and beyond what I’ve experienced from other GP practices. All staff have been polite, very helpful and considerate to patient needs. It is always clean, never overcrowded and patients are seen in a timely fashion. Telephone appointments are available with face-to-face follow-ups if deemed necessary. Many thanks to all at Shirehampton Group Practice.
The receptionists are rude, i have called up several times about two issues and have only been met with rude doctors inferring that I only want antibiotics when I just want to be referred. Absolutely shocking, would rate minus stars if it were an option.
I needed to get my Mum seen at the surgery and right from the start everyone was extremely polite, courteous, helpful and emphatic. The service she received was outstanding. Thank you Shirehampton Group especially Dr J Male who was so gentle and understanding and treated Mum with great dignity and respect.
I have been impressed so far with the service provided. I have just moved to the area, so I submitted a new patient form to the receptionist staff. Within 3 days I was registered and my notes had been transferred. I told the receptionist Noreta Fitzgerald I would like to see a doctor as soon as possible about a skin problem. She sent a link to my phone so that I could submit a photo, and within a couple of hours Shelly Joseph practitioner nurse called me back and said she would arrange an appointment with a GP. The next day she phoned me again and offered the appointment. Only 6 days from submitting my form to the appointment date. Everyone I have spoken to has been pleasant and helpful. Thank you

Diabolical! One particular doctor has been dealing with my health issues for the past year. Phoned to ask for face to face appointment with her to be told there is not any available so was happy for telephone appointment as the only alternative to be told there isn’t any of them either. She has not appointments available at all. So can no longer speak to her about my issues that she knows all about and would have to start explaining to another doctor all over again which I don’t feel is acceptable. We need to get back to face to face appointments. BP etc can’t be taken over the phone. Absolutely ridiculous.
Receptionist are Absolutely terrible. Called up first thing in the morning I was number 1 in the queue, Receptionist then picked up the phone and put it straight down rang back up to be number 10 in the queue.
Saw male nurse..went in on time..very afficient and pleasant.
