We were welcomed by the owner who immediately had us laughing and big plus is its a dog friendly pub! Ale was spot on with lovely pint of Tribute and the food was faultless. Note though make sure you have the Bakewell pudding for a sweet - it's homemade and is one of the best sweets I have tested in a long long time. Superb

Stop Press, apparently under new management in October 2017, 'until things are settled there is NO FOOD', so it's worth checking that food will be on if food is the reason for visiting. The pub was still very welcoming and friendly and had well kept beer, perhaps just temporarily there are no card payment facilities.
