Great experience, must see activity if you are visiting Tunbridge Wells. I took a round trip, without hop on off, as only High Rocks deserved a stop. Other stations can be skipped. Costs about 25 pounds for a family of 3. Good views, nice authentic carriages, lots of steam

Great family day out. Train stops at some lovely places to go and explore . Can also just do a round trip without disembarking . Drinks and food selection on board is great. We experienced both the diesel and steam engines. Nice museum to explore at the station while you wait

Nice day out on steam/diesel trains. Buy all day ticket and you can hop in and hop off along the way. All the staffs are very nice. You can try the first class without extra payment.

A great place to visit. A real step back in time with both steam and heritage diesel engines in service.nA return trip from Tunbridge Wells West to Eridge and back is about an hour including a ten minute turn around.nEridge also has a BR rail station next to the heritage line.nIt costs £10 for a return trip, for a little more you can get a day rover ticket and ride as much as you like.nRefreshments are available in the train.nAt T.Wells West you can view various engines and rolling stock plus there is a shop and a continuously rolling video which shows the history of the line.nThere are gala days and Thomas the Tank Engine days at certain times of the year and the Polar express train in December.nThey offer rides with cream teas, plus occasional fish & chips runs and various other events. You'll find it all on their website.nThere's a fair bit to see and it's all included in the ticket price. You can hop on and off with a rover ticket so you can send all day exploring.nTrain mainly run at the weekends but at peak times they run in weekdays.

Today we visited the Spa Valley Railway and hands-down it was the best family day out.nOur two-year-old loves trains, so we bought all-day tickets for the three of us. This meant we could come ride as many times as we would like throughout the day. The tickets were £40, including a £2 booking fee. I just had to show my booking to the member of staff in the ticket office and they printed off our tickets.nWe travelled from Tunbridge Wells to Eridge with the diesel pulling and then returned via the steam train.nStaff were incredible! They were brilliant with our two-year-old, explaining how to get the best view, knowledgeable and made the day extra-special. We were able to stand on the hot plate and back at the station, mechanics happily answered all our questions.nWe would have been happy if our day had finished after the first return trip but we were able to explore the engine shed, well-stocked shop and go back on the trains after our lunch.nA truly memorable day out.
