Fantastic place, can't believe we've not been here before!! Lovely staff, great atmosphere and the food was excellent. We will definitely return!!!
Great from start to finish. Atmosphere relaxed with great music to listen to whilst dining. Staff friendly and attentive without being intrusive and food was Amazing. Been twice now and was not disappointed. Great value. Highly recommend.
Everything perfect. Great music. Great steak. Great service. And I’m a picky guy but this was really perfect. Forgive the boring plate picture. I don’t do mushrooms and couldn’t have the onion ring or tomato.

The wife and I ate here last night before going on to Rock City. I had the ribs to start and they literally fell of the bone. Then I had the Fillet Steak medium rare and it was easily the best steak I've had in a restaurant. The chips were big, crispy and fluffy on the inside. Lovely meal. If I were to be overly critical I'd say the main followed the starters a little too quickly so there was no time to catch your breath but that was really looking for something to improve on. All in all a fantastic meal. Thank you.
Nice little place. Service was good, food very average. Frozen chips not great would have been nice with homemade chips deserts seemed to be shop bought and not of the good brands. Just little tweaks could have made it better
It's been many years since I last visited The Soulville Restaurant, not much changed. Great Motown music playing on the jukebox. My steak was tasty and well presented. 3 of us at here and all enjoyed our meals.Food: 4/5
Came here with some friends from work. Despite the food Mixed Grill being okay, the environment was very uncomfortable. The waitress who was serving at our table just fine was clearly shouted at, quite aggressively by her manager in a backroom, which shouldn’t happen. Knowing the staff are treated this way really disillusioned us with the restaurant, and gave off a very bad vibe. I also saw another group walk off without paying and I can’t honestly blame them, will not be returning and advise others to visit other, better places Miller & Carter.
The staff were so quiet and borderline rude. Standing at the opposite end of our table and whispering the order like we were going to hear it over the loud music... I really can't stress how frustrating it became. Not one friendly smile, from anyone - I'd recommend they find a new job that they enjoy! Really really poor service. Disappointed that my steak wasn't cooked the way I like it but the chicken wing starter was good. Not a steakhouse I would recommend to anyone.
