Took a group for a Christmas meal, and they all enjoyed it, especially the dessert . Staff were very good and patient, as was a large group. Christmas Crackers on table, which was well laid out. Overall a very good experience

Greeted by friendly staff. Given a table immediately on arrival. Food came quickly and was lovely. Not been here for a meal in many years. The restaurant was clean and nothing too much trouble staff checked that we were ok a few times. Very good experience I really enjoyed it and would come back again.

Had a family get together to celebrate a birthday. Food is really good lots of choice.. we were told 30 mins waits, but I think it was a lot quicker. Nice staff. The favourite was Hunters chicken, but I had the Roast.

Very friendly staff and the food was delicious too. Beautiful scenery and a play area for the kids also..... Travelled from Wakefield to this pub/restaurant and wasn't disappointed in any way at all...10/10

A pleasant evening. It's January, it's cold outside and it's your Birthday. Service was spot on. Food arrived quickly and was pretty good. Chicken sharer starter was lovely, the mussels in white wine was lacking in flavour but I'm a seafood fanatic. The burger was cooked to perfection and very tasty. We will be returning and trying other things on the menu.

Visited today for lunch . A long time coming but when arrived all meals were of good quality and hot. Good to know. Service minimal from bar staff but waiting staff very personable and pleasant. Would go again. Dog friendly and clean toilets clean

As usual, decent food since it's a Greene King pub, and this time we got table service - not used to that as any major chain pub! The staff were lovely. There is a beautiful view of a lake outside that would be great in summer!

Had Sunday lunch here a few weeks ago, first visit, very impressed, great food, very good service and good prices. We will certainly be back. Returned August 26th, again excellent food,service and a great view across the lake. Many more visits will occur! Visited yet again for a evening meal with friends.  As usual, we were not let down, excellent food and very good service, even though they were quite busy. Our friends were very impressed. Can highly recommend this place.

Absolutely  amazing just had our Christmas Dinner there.  The staff service and atmosphere was fantastic and the chef  was fantastic.  Definitely going back thank you to the team at Smithy pond and thank you Laura and Richard
