Staff are friendly and very helpful. Food is good. Our Full English Breakfast was cooked to order this morning and tasted brilliant. Along with freshly squeezed orange juice and pots of freshly made coffee. Our Steak Au Poivre last night was delicious and followed by a Fabulous Cheeseboard for Dessert.Rooms: 5/5
Not been to Lower Slaughters Manor for a long time, so decided to have a lunch just to see what's change, with a view to go again but for evening meal. Whilst the restaurant is now what was the swimming pool and platform over, the former restaurant is now what designated as the bar area, which we attended to. It still retains the charm of what once was a Manor, with it's own ground with a lovely setting. The restaurant area is bright but lost it's luxurious charm as it now quite clinical, but we were explained the reason for the move is mainly because it suitable for when they have wedding, when the original restaurant wasn't quite big enough, it's just slightly narrower. Beside that we enjoyed lunch in the original restaurant, it was quiet and luxurious, plenty of chairs to sit around. We both chose the steak, with fries and peppercorn sauce it was done to our liking. So a lovely time was spent, services was good, just a tad expensive, but that's what you get when you go to this sort of places, as it is in 'The Slaughters' very popular with tourist and visitors alike.
Fantastic hotel. Beautiful Manor house, cosy and welcoming, room was immaculately clean and had everything needed. A super comfy bed, separate shower and a slipper bath - lush! Food was excellent, staff were all very friendly and efficient. I've not felt this relaxed since my holidays!Rooms: 5/5
Has lunch here. Very friendly staff, excellent service. I had fish and chips. The lightest thin batter. Delicious fish. Good chunky chips. Husband had burger and chips he enjoyed too. Lovely location in the village Nearby activities: Bourton on the water
Really beautiful venue with happy and helpful staff. We had a great time DJing here for Raphaella & Simon's wedding. Our black starlight DJ booth and Crazy in Love neon sign looked fantastic in the main function room! Looking forward to coming back soon. Kai Signature Moments
Gorgeous rooms, amazing food and friendly staff, free Sunday Times and a late checkout in sympathy for my cold. Look forward to a return visit.
My friend and I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea on the lawn yesterday. Our compliments to the chef, each aspect was exquisitely hand made and flavoursome. Very different patisserie. They were light but we left absolutely full. A beautiful setting and highly recommend. The photo does not show; Sausage rolls, 3 flavour sandwiches, 4 different cakes, 2 different scones - cream/jam each - for two people
Beautiful place, friendly and welcoming staff, however food at the bar average level.
Incredibly disappointed with the customer service at this hotel which is non existent. We were going for a wedding and they harassed us to pay in full in advance, what they didn’t tell us was that this was non refundable and non transferable. When we sadly tried to move our booking giving 3 days advance notice due to Illness it took them 2 weeks, numerous phone calls and emails for them to reply no meaning we lost the whole cost of the room. Extremely disappointing customer service.
If you’re looking for bad service and a hotel who will look to make a quick buck on you, you’ve come to the right place. We asked them to move our booking because one of us was ill and it took them 2 weeks to reply it wasn’t possible and we had lost our money as the booking date had passed. Emily in the events team was particularly unhelpful and needed chasing every other day. Apparently the GM was involved and believed this level of service is perfectly fine. Stay clear.
