I have always found the staff courteous helpful and kind.nThey have always made me feel listened to and even taken extra time to understand my concerns and explain about any side effects of new medications etc…nI felt included in my care, given relevant information to make decisions on my treatment and supported in making lifestyle changes - and the staff have all done this whilst being under a huge amount of pressure both locally and nationally.nI know there is a problem getting an appointment but I think that is every doctors surgery in the UK.
Ah I wish I knew where to begin. If I could put 0 stars I would.nnMy important repeat prescription was not posted FOR 7 DAYS STRAIGHT. I had to call 999 for an emergency prescription because they are this useless.nnI try calling at 8:00 when the lines open everyday for an appointment, only to join a queue of +45 people, by which point when my callback arrives they have no appointments left. I have been doing this for months. I have a serious medical condition but they don’t seem to care one bit.nnNobody has any empathy or understanding. I understand they may be under pressure, but their primary aim is to help people, and when there are this many 1 star reviews, I think it begins to spell out just how dramatically they’re failing to provide such a vital service.nnDO NOT VISIT THIS GP.
-when making telephone appointments they are always late and never on time and then get annoyed at you when you state to them you cannot hang around on the phone cause of your own plans.n-on telephone calls they also try to rush you and refuse to listen to youn- doctors are very rude and often don't listen and make their own assumptions which are often wrong and lead to no proper care.n- I have been 4 times for 1 specific problem and every time I am given the wrong medication or not enough.n- they have marked test results as normal when they are notn- never follow up the test results if found unnaturaln-take forever to sign of prescriptions and often I have to go back and ask for them to be signed off
The Fawlty Towers of GP Surgeries.nnWhere to even begin?!nnIf you want to talk to someone then just go in because their admin is none existent, they simply don’t answer the phones. And even then they will try and get rid of you as soon as they can because the patients are treated as an inconvenience.nnThey never keep their word, so don’t trust that they will pass on any messages or call you back despite promising to do so.nnThey will lose your blood tests and mess up your medical records. No apologies obviously.nnYou will only be able to book an appointment for that day, and only then if you are one of the lucky few between 8:00am and 8:03am.nnThey will be rude and unhelpful every stage of the way, no attempt whatsoever to make it a smooth experience.nnYou will only be called when they are doing so by mistake because your records have not been updated.nnYou will have to monitor and chase up every single piece of admin yourself, otherwise it will just vanish.nnIf you are by some extraordinary stroke of luck able to see a doctor then don’t commit the name to memory as the ones that fill you with confidence tend to escape from the place as soon as they can. Not to worry though because everyone’s favourite, the notorious Dr. Butt, will never leave. Joy!!nnI could go on.nnPositives?nnYou can always get parked as nobody wants to be near the damn place to begin with, yet somehow it is still always fully booked.nnThe nursing staff are lovely, but they only have so many options available to them to help.nnIf I could give this a “0” Star then I would. It needs shutting down.nnFinally, and extraordinarily perhaps, the only establishment in town that could rival it for ineptitude and incompetence is that so called pharmacy next door.nnMy advice? Ask your local butcher to run your Healthcare instead. Or maybe someone who works in a Pet Shop.nnBest of luck everyone!!
After having to go in to get a appointment after weeks of not getting through a doctor called me back today to advise I need a face to face appointment and I'd have to call reception who never answer the apps never on, I explained I'm 5 months pregnant and in severe pain! Shocking duty of care should be ashamed I'm moving practises wouldn't worse this on my worst enemy I'll just carry on in pain and crying
