Lovely shopping experience, as someone who knows next-to-nothing about fabrics or sewing, I'm just a keen amateur. They were warm and helpful and knowledgeable, and found me what I needed in no time.
Amazing helpful staff, fantastic selection of fabrics. I have been coming here for over 20 years and now drive over 90 mins to get there. Won't go anywhere else. Great prices, great fabric quality, great shop.
A varied range of materials. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable, giving excellent advice. They even made me realise that I didn't need to buy as much as I had planned to. Will definitely call again. Not a great deal of parking but there are plenty of streets nearby.
I've waited weeks for this shop to be open when I've gone past Covid, I guess and went in today. I asked for Calico and asked about its gsm weight - they had no idea. I was told they just get the material in and sell it. I was at the desk to cut and pay - I even said I was happy to pay to keep shops like this open although the cost was double. The old fella/owner was then quite challenging and while I said his shop cannot be compared to online shops like ebay, the option still exists for customers to choose but I chose to buy from his shop. As soon as he heard 'ebay', it was like a mental illness switch in him that flicked over and he told me he didn't want my business. So it's not online business that's killing his shop, it's his 1930s Arkwright attitude and his near complete ignorance in what he sells. I fear genuinely his internal fight on what ebay/online shopping means to him is spilling out into sone mental/social irrational behaviour. I'd still buy from him - if only to pay for some help for him. I wish him well.
I've used this shop for over 12 years. The staff are lovely and friendly, a variety of fabrics and always bargains on the rails if wanted. Highly recommended
Good choice, prices reasonable and ignore some of the posts about grumpy service. The ladies are lovely and the owner guy normally gives me pieces of card for my boys to use as car roads playing whilst I shop... you can tell he really likes kids.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. I had not known what to expect so had not planned to buy much. What I did buy was a brand I knew to be good quality. Will definitely return.

This is a true fabric shop, a great selection of fabrics and other sewing bits that you may need. The staff are so helpful, they really know what they are doing and can advise you if needed.
