Everything a good village shop should be and more. Run by a local family who are always keen to be involved with village life and support local events. The butchery is first class and people come from miles around to shop there. They stock a broad range of well chosen groceries, and the fresh fruit and veg they buy in regularly from market is excellent. The Shop is one of those things that make Sherfield such a lovely place to live.

A proper local village shop with really friendly staff and a great butchers. I happily travel a couple of miles, rather than use my local shop.

Super little, friendly, densely-packed shop of loveliness. Not overpriced, either. And of course opens later than bigger shops on a Sunday. Don't miss the great butcher's counter at the back. Nor the high-quality produce out front. And it stocks products from Christmas Bakery (which is nice).

I privately rented a studio apartment at the parents house years ago in Old Basing I got blamed for a water leak when it was the property at fault a member of my own family was spoken to disrespectful and Paul's father appologised and then on the day i vacated property i experienced criminal damage to my stuff from them.
