Fantastic pub, went out of their way to get us in for Sunday Lunch & the food was amazing. Friendly & welcoming staff who made us feel more than welcome. Would defiantly recommend to anyone passing through Porthmadog. Thank you to all the staff for a great Sunday lunch & friendly chat.
Very nice pub. Took our dogs in and had a warm welcome from the landlady. Had three lovely meals. Sadly it looked so good we all eat it first before I took pictures. The empty plates say it all
Very friendly traditional pub serving equally traditional pub food - lasagna, scampi, gammon steak, burgers, steak and ale pie and so on. Morretti, Coors, Heineken, Guinness, Old Speckled Hen and a cider are on the bar. Get there early because food stops at 8.
One of the staff was very nice with us, we met with her outside and she told us that they still have a table, so we can go in, but we have time no rush. So we went in but unfortunately not that girl was our waitress, was an older woman and she was not so nice. She hurried us to order, was not so polite and nice. Was not a big choice of food, menu was ok as a simple pub, nothing special, not too many beer option, place not really cozy, no life in it, no vibrant, nothing what catch you. I am sure the staff was less then needed. Beside table ordered lambshank, and as i saw was just so so.. not so bad, but i am sure it was not so good either. We decided not to eat there. And just leave the place. Maybe we just were there in a bad time.
Massive portions served with love. We ordered burger with chicken topping, and lamb steak. Very tasty food. Really nice staff too. Must visit.
Nice location, friendly staff, good food, fair prices. We didn't have a reservation and got a table prepared right away. We paid about £90 for a family of five with rather older children and were all full. Not cheap but definitely worth it. They also have smaller portions with less additional things called baskets.
Great pub with a very nice landlady. Myself and my family visited here a few nights this weekend with my puppy and we all loved it, especially Coco who was spoilt with fusses and treats. The staff were really friendly and the food was lovely. Highly recommended.
Good food, reasonably priced. This is a proper pub with a friendly atmosphere, decent beer and a landlady who knows her stuff.
Nice friendly pub. Staff great. Had a superb ribeye steak on this visit. Food is great. Real ale served here too!
Went for the steak night it was the best steak I've had in years wife had fishcakes and said they were excellent overall a very good pub
