I was treated to afternoon tea around Aqua Shard restaurant by my Daughter. Absolutely amazing experience, food was heavenly, staff couldn't be more attentive, the view from our table was superb too then we come to paying the bill......if you are doing this afternoon tea be extremely careful, we thought the champagne afternoon tea was £90 a head...... turns out it definitely wasn't!!! We paid £27 a glass for the champagne!!!! Total bill was just shy of £300 including nearly £40 of service charges.nSo yes amazing food, amazing service and amazing views but £300 worth.....I don't think so.
Fantastic building. Unfortunately I was visiting for work so i didn’t get a chance to explore too much of the building but I was very impressed by the bits that I did see.nGreat transport links with a bus station taxi rank and tube station within minutes.
In august I had the opportunity to stay at The Shard in London, and the experience was truly remarkable. From the very beginning, I was impressed by the efficiency and speed of the check-in process. Within just a few minutes, all formalities were completed, lnnThe location is ideal, right in the heart of London, with quick access to the city’s main attractions. Being close to Borough Market, Tower Bridge, and London Bridge underground station makes everything much more convenient, whether you're in the city for business or leisure.nnThe services provided by the hotel is top-notch. The staff was extremely friendly and professional, anticipating my needs and offering useful recommendations for exploring the city. I appreciated the attention to detail and the promptness with which they responded to any request.nnThe view from the room is simply stunning. The panoramic view over London, whether at sunrise or sunset, is unparalleled. The large windows allow you to see the city in all its glory, and during quiet evenings, you can admire the lights reflecting on the Thames.nnI also had the chance to enjoy the spa and pool facilities. A true sanctuary of relaxation. After a long day of exploring, the pool and the sauna on the upper floors, with its spectacular view over London, was exactly what I needed to recharge.nnOverall, The Shard is an excellent choice for those who want to experience luxury and sophistication in the heart of London. It’s a place that sets new standards for hospitality and comfort. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an unforgettable experience in the British capital!
Visiting The Shard was definitely a once in a lifetime experience. The view over London is breathtaking - you have a fantastic panoramic view that is truly impressive. Especially in good weather, you can admire many of the famous sights from a bird's eye view.nnThe bar at the top has a relaxed atmosphere and the cocktails are good, although they are not included in the entrance fee. This was a little disappointing as the entrance fee in itself is quite expensive.nnOverall, it was a nice experience that I wouldn't want to miss. Nevertheless, I have to say that it remains a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me - the high price and the experience itself don't justify a second visit. However, if it's your first time in London and you're looking for a special view over the city, it's definitely worth it!
Awesome place to watch the sun setting over the London skyline.nThe upper viewing platform is brilliant being outside. However as a disabled person, it was difficult to keep standing for too long. Lack of seating takes away from the view when your are in pain.
