Beautiful town with lots of shops catering for all things. Plenty of small artisan shops and privately owned cafés and restaurants. Well worth a visit.
Upstairs is a great vinyl & cd record shop run by Nick. Prices are varied and fair. It is all cash....no cards. Nick obtained an LP I was after & I collected it....very helpful. All genre's of music are covered. A great shop.
The Shambles are a definate must for any tourist visiting this beautiful city. Don't forget your camera as there are lots of buildings from times gone by. Although I visited in Covid time there was still lots of outdoor dining and coffee spots.
Great little victoriana arcade, a hidden gem with a great butchers and the superb bentos box vegan restaurant, always with a smile
It's a shame that such an historic market hall is less than 40% occupied. Maybe the rents and rates are too high for potential traders to take the risk. The butcher sells quality produce and is well worth a try - Great sausages I'd bet they're the best in Worcester, black pudding and pork pies.
Sad how this once historic area is been left to decay into vape shops, phone repair stores and homeless people in the closed shop doorways.
Victorian christmas market was wonderful but incredibly busy, not suitable for wheelchair users as people were rude and kept almost falling on the wheelchair! No one moves out of the way even when we walked less then a mile an hour!!! Couldn't get close enough to stalls either, atmosphere was lovely though and felt very christmasy. Great stall we did visit had vintage jewellery and brooches, sellers were wonderfully dressed in Victorian clothes and stopped to talk to us - hope you do visit Margate!
Some good shops trespass blacks phone shop max spielman photo shop which i would recommend for i,d, photos or to print of your self the staff are very helpful if you are having any problems they will everything they can to help there are a few empty units which look a bit run down ,
Proper butchers , great service, personal touch
not many places left here it's a shame as it used to have a lot of brilliant shops but now next to nothing here miss some of the shops as they had plenty of unique items
