Phoned for advice on humanely deterring a dog from mounting minea problem I have been having for the last year whether my dog is in season or not. The advisor suggested that I walk my dog away from my own home. She also suggested "not to deter someone else's dog". To point out the inevitable outcome of not deterring the male dog from mounting my female dog shouldn't be necessary however seeing as I tried several times to explain what would happen it appears I have to. so let's follow the incident to it's logical conclusion with and without interference. Incident: Male dog attempts to mount female dog without interference. Outcome option 1: female dog defends herself causing injuries to both dogs Outcome option 2: Male dog RAPES the female dog Incident: Male dog attempts to mount female dog with interference. Outcome option 1: male dog bites owner of female dog and gets put downsomething I would ensure happens. Outcome option 2: male dog gets seriously injured by owner of female dog leading to court cases. I will be expecting this review to be removed or hidden due to the words and terminology used. However the above review is fact.
I'm giving 5 stars because of the staff that I dealt with. Fortunately for me, I was dropping off donations. Sadly, there are 140 cats and 130 dogs here that need homes. I hope my donations help a little. I buy tea towels, towels, and cozy and fleece blankets on sale throughout the year for the winter time.
Both my cats went in for neutering at the same time. They treated them so well. Alleviated all my worries pre and post surgery. Staff were amazing and looked after my boys like they were their own
From start to finish, staff were amazing, and Chica has been amazing for only having her a day she's finally tired out lol x
Went along to donate food and toys for the animals. Guy's and gal's do great work here. Nice to help out, even in a small way.
Got my kitten from here. Such a quick and efficient process and my kitten is now settled in his new loving home.
The staff were very helpful, and their guidance and advice was spot on. I adopted a cat a few weeks ago and it's the most adorable natured animal. She was very timorous for a couple of weeks, but now she's settled in very nicely. Thank you everyone at the centre. We think she loves her new home.
We put in an application for a dog was told that they were going to contact us so it’s very hard to re home a dog what’s the point in asking we still had no contact with the SPCA so hopefully we’ll have better luck at dog trust and not be judged there as me and my mother thought that we were being judged by the staff I really feel a shame for the animals I guess they prefer euthanise action instead of a nice country home.
SPCA Glasgow has given me the most adorable wee girl who has brought much joy into our home. Can't thank them enough for everything that they did for her and do for hundreds of poor unfortunate animals thought Scotland.
Fantastic charity! Great staff and well cared for animals. My youngest cat is a rescue from the Milton centre and I’ve had her for 7 years. Staff are only too happy to give out advice and information on any animals. They are always looking for donations, monetary or food/bedding to help them deliver their service
