Lovely restaurant, original and old school and the restaurant seating area located in the school hall. Service was excellent. Can really recommend the steak and wild mushrooms pie was gorgeous, needed a little extra gravy but I like lots of gravy Food: 4/5
Wow stayed at a local chain hotel and try to use local business for our meals. Breakfast at the schoolhouse was a highlight. Steak eggs and potatoes the idea I had was far from what arrived locally found food superbly cooked with proper old fashioned service. Having a severe allergy to rosemary not on any allergen lists makes it hard eating out. Staff were on top of it and nothing was too much trouble. Can’t wait to go back. Dietary restrictions: Spot on and knew what was in the food they produced which in this day and age is rare.
We held a surprise party for my Mums 70th. We couldn’t have asked for more from start to finish. The food was fantastic and the staff were so helpful. Will definitely be returningFood: 5/5
A group of 19 ladies visiting for bottomless brunch. Amazing food and plenty of it. Great atmosphere, very cosy. Definitely worth a visit good value for money . Highly recommend Wheelchair accessibility: One of the girls didn’t have any issues with her wheelchair
Went to the schoolhouse for an evening meal on our anniversary. On arrival there was a hand despenser and a shield across the bar. The staff were clearly social distancing and the tables had been moved to accomodate this. The service and the food was very tasty and well presented as always. We had the superfood salad, lamb burger and sharing platter to start. As always a great experience.
The School house is a must for a great meal and friendly service. From beginning to end we couldn't have been made to feel more welcome by Demmie and our waiter Leon. Very much looking forward to our next meal.
We had been a few times for Sunday lunch which had always been great, so decided to book a meal for a group of 30 for my husbands 30th birthday celebration. We all had a great night and everyone complimented how lovely the food was. The staff were also great and very attentive throughout the night, and everything ran smoothly so we were all able to have a relaxed evening with family and friends. We’ll definitely be back soon, and will bare you in mind for any future large bookings too, would definitely recommend Thanks again!
Lovely setting,very helpful staff and lovely food. This is my second visit and loved the whole experience. They also catered for a large group,all meals were served at the same time and were lovely and hot. Very big portions of food. I would go back again.Food: 5/5
Cosy atmosphere and great service in a former schoolhouse. Tasty freshly cooked food. The prawns pil pil were large and juicy, very nice. The vegetarian mushroom gnocchi had so many different variety of mushrooms in it. I would like to see more vegetarian options for mains though. Good selection of drinks. Very friendly staff. Would recommended.
