Our stay at Sandhill House exceeded our every expectation -- the property's enchanting gardens and five-star accommodations, the impressive and delicious breakfasts menu offered, and the close proximity to the Royal Troon Golf Course and the Town of Troon. Our hosts Elaine and Peter excelled at delivering excellent customer service. We felt like special guests within their beautiful establishment. We can't wait to return.
Perfect for our one-night stay. Warm welcome from Elaine. Calm atmosphere in this beautiful old house. Secluded location down a lane from the road. Great choices for breakfast, we had the full scottish, fabulous. Tip: Find the location on Google Maps and use 'directions' to get there rather than putting the address provided into your sat nav.
Amazing place!!!! Highly recommended. Beautiful rooms, peaceful suroundings. Landlord and landlady are just incredible. And the breakfast… mmm!! Yummy!!! Go and stay!!
This place was absolutely outstanding, there is an air of peacefulness about this place. Elaine was so friendly and inviting, great for exploring the local area and more. There is plenty of choice locally to eat out in the evenings and then come back and relax in the lounge. The breakfast was brilliant and I and my wife had no complaints and will be back again for another break. There history to this house and it would be worthwhile digging if you are interested. I certainly preferred it to hotels ad cannot wait to return as we had 5 lovely days there.
I wasn't fortunate enough to be able to stay here as I had a family emergency, but I still wanted to write a review & highly recommend booking Sandhill House, they are an absolute lovely, kind, caring host. Elaine was extremely helpful & understanding, while I tried to book accommodation from Australia to Scotland. So #kudos to you Elaine & Sandhill you definitely deserve 5 stars all the way! Well deserved & Best Wishes
I usually leave reviews if ever at the end of a stay, but this place warrants one on our first day! I can honestly say in all the holidays we've had, I've never felt as welcome and as at home within an hour of arrival, including my family and dogs. The owner is not only warm and easy going, but has gone to great lengths with little touches that just make all the difference. We haven't experienced the breakfast yet but if other reviews and our first impressions are anything to go by, it will be well worth waiting for! This place is undoubtedly the jewel in the Crown, and I don't think we will consider staying anywhere else while holidaying in this area again. Five stars barely seem sufficient for such a wonderful place to stay

A super hotel on the way to the Arran ferry. Or Prestwick airport or Royal Troon golf course. Our room overlooked 3 of the holes plus the sea. A stunning hotel and grounds/views.Rooms: 5/5
We have stayed here before and went back just last week for a long weekend break, Our stay was amazing. Elaine is just so friendly and all staff are lovely and make you feel so welcome. Us being big animal lovers loved the Alpaca called Duke and the wee pony was also lovely, the room we stayed in was beautiful and breakfast was just amazing so yummy. The room was so clean and during pandemic we felt safe, when out room was cleaned each day with fresh cups and even biscuits and muffins. Thank you again to you all :. We will defo be back. Beautiful old house renovated and furnished to a high standard. Loved our stay. So comfortable and toasty warm. Bed was superking, super comfy and super clean. Everything about our stay was fabulous including the lovely breakfast and friendly staff. Loved Duke the Alpaca and the fluffy cat. We highly recommend staying here which is close to the airport and railway but not affected by noise. We will definitely return
