Lovely spacious restaurant / public house. Clean and tidy with friendly and helpful staff. A very comprehensive menu for food and drinks, reasonably priced too. On my first visit I had the carvery, this was excellent quality and fantastic taste at a great temperature. We most definitely visit again, highly recommended 10/10.
First time I've visited and was pleasantly surprised. A lovely atmosphere here with friendly staff. Lots of choice on the menus or just grab a drink or two. Nice space at the back end of the venue to keep the kids entertained. Will definitely make a return visit soon :
We came here for a meet up for food and beers one evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a Thursday evening and there was a quiz on so we've been coming back every Thursday since! The food is amazing; I can especially recommend the burgers; flame grilled to perfection and served with a pile of skinny fries. There's a great selection of beers and my current favourite, Neck Oil from Beavertown brewery. The ambience is pleasant and the music is gentle background, suitable for a conversation. Staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant also allows dogs inside. Only negative is it's a bit pricey.
What an absolute let down. We booked a table for 6.30 and arrived at 6.10 to be told they didn't have any Carvery because they sold out at lunchtime. OMG this place will be closed by March at this rate. The selling point is the food so not having any right next to 3 supermarkets is a huge downfall. The decor is old and when the winter bills roll in Marston's will pull the plug on this sad establishment. Why is it the same chain can be so poor is it a Cardiff problem as my other experience's in Llanelli were great !
Good pub with food. Large free car park. Very reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly. I had a carvery which was fine. Situated very near Cardiff City Stadium.
Had a carvery meal that was cold from the start. We were celebrating Christmas with family so didn't want to complain but would not go there again. Shame because the quantities were good and dessert was good too, although they had run out of two of the desserts we ordered. Far from satisfactory.
Not a bad pub at at all. The staff were really friendly and the pints were good. Really chilled atmosphere and a nice place to catch up with the family. The food was ok. About what you’d expect from a pub chain. It was enjoyable and piping hot but nothing you’d go bragging to your friends about. My only issue was one of our party had the hunters chicken and the size of the chicken breast was laughable. 3 mouthfuls and it was gone and I’m not talking big mouthfuls. I notice they also advertise on the lite bites that they do hunters chicken with half a chicken breast……if it’s half the size of what came out tonight I really wouldn’t bother. Best advise is avoid the hunters chicken.
A great place for lunch or dinner especially for families. Food is good and not expensive. Small indoor play are for young children. Good outside area to sit and eat/drink as well. The pub is situated very close to Cardiff City football club and also a large shopping area.
Nice and warm large pub needed after watching the football next door. A kids area which adds a small amount of screeching but all contained. Beer priced much as elsewhere and a good selection of food. I only had a couple of beers which were fine.
Everything was nice, however, the carvery was served cold and had to be reheated for it to be edible. The APP / website, didn't show the entire menu available, so i ordered gammon when I would've preferred steak. Steak didn't appear on the online menu. The special offer of two slices of cake for £8 wasn't available out of stock. Not good for the festive period.
