Can’t believe it took us so long to visit this diamond of a restaurant. The menu may be smaller but the flavours are mighty with enough selection to please every palate. We started with Prawn Skagen and the specials Cauli Filo rolls which were both very tasty, I could’ve just eaten a plate of the Cauli rolls! We then had the specials feta & strawberry salad and the spring cabbage leaves. The salad was so light and fresh with delicious strawberries, green beans and feta, very summery. The cabbage leaves filled with quinoa, peas, miso garlic mushrooms on a broad bean mash with maple and soy was just superb. We shared every course and took a rhubarb streusel home for our daughter as it was GF. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Macclesfield. Thank you Jo for a wonderful meal, we will be back!
We finally made it here for dinner after a year of recommendations and we were very impressed. They find the perfect balance between friendly / attentive and professional. And the food was fantastic to boot! We had the smorgasbord to start absolutely loved the pickled carrots!, the meatballs and treacle burger for main and then for dessert, shared the marzipan tarts and chokoladebollar spelling?! . All the courses were fantastic and we'll definitely be recommending to all our friends and returning soon!
Excellent lunch today, we shared a pickling plate of seven items together with a prawn skagen which were both beautifully presented freshly prepared and tasty. The service was relaxed and we felt very comfortable in the cafe environment. It was clear that the staff are covid aware and its reassuring to see. Would go back without hesitation when we are in the area again.

Food was absolutely delicious, the cabbage rolls were fresh and full of flavour. Great value for the quality too. Highly recommend this place, I can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu! Really good. Our first smorgasbord. We found the Salt Bar last time we were in Macclesfield and we'll be back. Recommended
Have lunch here every month. Staff very pleasant and attentive. Menu is limited but food is good. Small interior but a pleasant place for meeting up and it won't cost you a fortune. Sandwiches are a bit different from the norm and are very tasty. Parking: Public car park close by down the slope.

A wait of app.25 min as a party of 6 were infront of us. Pleasant front of house staff. Lovely burger, fries. Would have liked more salad. Hope to go back before the venue closes at the end of this month - evenjngs only Wednesday - Saturday.
Great service but food not as good as it was , sharing platter , very small portions , you could afford to charge more and make portions bigger and most , bar the smoked mackerel pate and salt beef were bland . Decor great and atmosphere but won’t be coming back , food just averageFood: 3/5
