Very nice lunch at a tenner. Friendly outgoing and attentive staff. Only down side nothing major. My mate got chips instead of wedges because there was none left but, only advised this when food was put down to him. First time brought out a salad to him instead of his wrap with chips etc. But all in all very good experience.  Food & drinks: Very nice lunch at a tenner with a lovely pint of Guinness to go with it. Sweet chilli chicken wrap about the size of an adult man with chips. Would definitely go back.

Went here for dinner and the food was very tasty.  Peri Peri Cauliflower Wings for starter the day's special was the best cauliflower dish I've ever tasted and the Steak and Guinness Pie was also well presented and delicious. Portions including sides were generous. Service was swift and friendly.  Washed down with a couple of pints of Dhu Brew from Stow nearby.  Would recommend

It has been a while since I have been to the Salmon Inn. Had lunch here with some friends. Very comfortable place, great service from friendly staff. Food just as good as I last remembered it to be. Will need to come back more often. Good sized portions too.

Phone up for a room last minute on New year's eve. Explained why I needed a room,No problem can u give me until 2pm to sort room out. Room was spotless staff were very helpful even delivering the wife's food to the room so I could grab a couple of beers. Let us check out late due to it being the New year. Certainly not the Salmon inn I remember when I left Gala all those years ago. Will definitely be back. Thanks to all at Salmon for everything they done.

I arrived and searched for the menu for anything I could eat that was gluten free, dairy free and fried free...a tall ask and I couldn't see an option. I explained my dietary requirements to the waitess and said that I would be quite happy to have just a side salad. Five minutes later after speaking with the the chef, they had managed to offer me sausage, mash and gravy. They also suggested that next time to give them a message to let them know in advance and they would happily accommodate this by getting something in especially. The presentation was beautiful and it tasted fab! I can not thank both the waitress and the chef enough for going above and beyond to accommodate me!

Stopover in Galashiels, popped in and was accommodated at short notice. Tip: It's a pub/restaurant so book a table - it's worth it. Very reasonable prices, great food, good beer  friendly service.  Food & drinks: Good pub menu. Presented well. Good portions.
