We had a really nice weekend in Dunfanaghy recently and this is definitely the place to eat. Best food in town by any measure. Glad we booked as this place gets crowded. Great pizza and really nice starters. The wine options are limited but good. Great service as well. It is attached to Patsy Dan's pub which is also a great pub.
Cool and relaxed casual pizzeria. Lots of options on the menu, pizzas were very good. Well worth eating and visiting if in the area. Book online. We arrived for our booking at 5pm when they open and there was already a queue. So it's a very popular place for both tourists and locals.
Fantastic place! Both food wise and ambience wise. Great pizzas great dessert. Very popular place you'd do well to book it beforehand. Bar and food held by separate people but not a bother to buy both at the same time more or less. Great interior and lots of different places to sit in. Vegetarian options: A couple of veggie pizzas and you can take away any ingredients if you want to make the meat pizzas vegetarian. Parking: Could sometimes be difficult if too many people about but usually you'd find parking on their backside.
Nice little restaurant, it has a very relaxed vibe. Service was pretty good, best to book a table in advance. The pizza was okay. Not the best I've had and not the worse, but alright. My pizza, the base was doughy and chewy, not really crispy and it also had lots of black burnt bits. The salami on the pizza was excellent, the sauce was lacking something, maybe more seasoning. The cheese seemed dense and just the standard mozzarella that every pizza place in Ireland used. There was a lot of hype about this place and I think I was expecting more but in the end it was just a normal pizza. Anyways, maybe try it for yourself and see.
Lovely pizza especially the sun dance! Great atmosphere and added bonus is you can eat your pizza in Patsys if you want! Fof any pilotd out there you can land at an airstrip beside dunfanaghy golf course!
Delicious pizza with original and curious topping creations. Pizzas are a little smaller than in other places and the wine is pricey when you check the cost of buying elsewhere but I wouldn't let this stop me returning. Prompt service and wonderful atmosphere. Exciting menu with something for everyone. A must in Dunfanaghy dining experience.
Fabulous pizza, maybe the best this side of Italy. Very quirky place for dinner, with lots of outdoor seating and some little indoor nooks. They don't serve alcohol, but that can be bought in the pub on the same premises. Great and interesting topping choices for the pizzas and you can see them made as you wait. They don't even mind if you bring your four-legged friends to sit with you outdoors.
While completing the Wild Atlantic Way we stopped in Dunfanaghy for dinner. A friend had recommended The Rusty Oven and the pizza certainly didn’t disappoint. Great pizza and garlic bread. Remember to bring cash as they don’t accept card payments.
Great Pizza. Only takes revolut via App or cash for food. The bar takes card payment for drinks.
What a fantastic place, firstly and most importantly to us and many others, THE RUSTY OVEN WELCOMES DOGS!! I had all but given up on any cafe, bar, restaurant, shop etc etc in any town around the area welcoming dogs, the only other place is the Shamrock bar in Falcarragh. Then i found out the Rusty Oven is happy to welcome dogs. Well done for recognising what your customers want. Even those without dogs were happy to come across and pet my doggy, making their night more enjoyable. Secondly what a great setting, I don't know how they do it but even though they created this from the back of a bar off a car park, it has a great atmosphere, lights, music etc and the pepperoni pizza I had there was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be visiting again, well done!! I
