My family and I have just had a lovely evening at The Rufford Arms to celebrate my sister in laws 60th birthday. There was lots of variety on the menu, our dairy intolerant nephew was well catered for and my picky hard to please 90year old mum ate everything without complaint, that's a miracle in itself. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and it was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The service was excellent with very attentive staff no long gaps between courses, drinks topped up often. Will definitely go here for our next big celebration, it was a big open space and our party of 14 never felt cramped or hemmed in. We've all left feeling full and very happy. Would recommend 100%
We did not stay over as we only live down the road, but we did eat in the restaurant on Monday 29/8/22. The food as usual was excellent as was the service. The menu choices were great and the specials menu was also great. We have no allergies or specific type of diets so we tend not to look out for this so hard to comment on this. My husband had the lamb shank special which he said was delicious and I had the pork off the main menu. The food was well presented, hot and very appetising. We have never had a bad meal or bad service in the Rufford Arms and would consider the prices to be average for the area in fact one or two dishes slightly below what we have paid elsewhere but considerably nicer. Would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.
Absolutely wonderful experience. Booked the meal and overnight stay deal. All staff very friendly and attentive no waiting for anything. It was a birthday celebration and we were given a complimentary bottle of prosecco in our room such a lovely touch. Food was exemplary with an extensive menu. We certainly be returning. Rooms: Clean comfortable room with good facilities
Quality food and quality staff and service. Dog friendly. After sitting down our dog Lola was given a bowl of water and a saucer full of treats! Our party of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience and would 100% come again without hesitation. Portion size was excellent. The car parking spaces are narrow but not helped by the poor parking of some of the clientele!
We only went to the bar after a nice walk down by the canal. Staff were lovely and very friendly. We ordered a round of drinks and they even brought out a bowl of water for the dog without being asked. We're definitely planning on going back to sample the food, which looked absolutely gorgeous.Service: 5/5
We had our eldest sons 18th birthday meal at rufford arm’s hotel and I can’t praise them enough. They couldn’t have been more attentive and accommodating, the food was fantastic and many people who hadn’t been before said they’d definitely be back, quality and portion size was exceptional. All the waiting on staff were very helpful and service was prompt. Would not hesitate to recommend or book again, thank you for helping to make such a special night for us all.
Visit to the restaurant where we enjoyed the Christmas Lunch menu, all three courses! Naughty but nice. Couldn't fault anything at all. Quality, portions, service, etc. A very well earned tip.Service: 5/5

Only been in the restaurant section, its very nice, well lit, tables nicely spaced apart, good selection of food on the menu, good selection of drinks, food was lovely and nicely presented. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff.Service: 5/5
