The service.. Natasha and the team were absolutely fantastic. We came with 2 dogs and were lucky enough to grab one of only two unbooked tables. The staff couldn't have done more. They were all very attentive and polite. Truly going above and beyond to ensure we had the best time. There was a group of people playing folk music which they do every Tuesday apparently which was nice.nnThe food.. Wow. The food was absolutely delicious! We weren't expecting much from a pub dinner but wow wow wow! It was fantastic! We will most definitely be back again very soon. Thank you so much.nnThe venue.. the building is so beautiful. Steaped in history and stories galore. You will find it hard to not learn something new in this place. It is a special place to the locals and they welcomed us out of towners with open arms. But it has to be said the pièce de résistance is when you step outside and go out into the beer garden. The view is so unexpected and beautiful it took our breath away. I felt i could have been in Greece or somewhere. Truly it is a hidden gem and we're already counting down the hours to our next visit. I'll be working my way through that menu. Dog friendly outside, benches with some parasols. Lots of space outside plenty of room between tables. Order food inside at the bar.nCame quickly and friendly staff. Nice meals lasagne could do with a bit more meat in it.
Had a great lunch meal here on a Friday in May 2026. Sat in the garden and only a couple of other tables occupied and enjoyed the sea views. We ordered the Welsh beef lasagne and the roasted vegetable tart and both were delicious. Service was friendly and attentive 10 out of 10 all round. Highly recommended.
Very disappointing meal. I chose halloumi fries and stuffed chicken. The fries cost £8, there were 4 small fries. The stuffed chicken was totally flavourless, and served on a bed of skin boiled smashed potatoes. The sauce was bland too. No veg or salad garnish. My husband chose a sea food stew, it was OK. But not a dish he would buy again! The service, was also lacking, the waiter needed more customer training. However, the deputy manager was lovely and understanding of our complaints. The pub appeared to have a lively vibe.
Lovely pub with great sea views! The staff are very friendly and helpful - I'm coeliac and they had some decent gluten free options. Bit limited if you're also veggie, but the food was delicious! Would come here again.
