Great staff on reception and in the restaurant. Room was small but comfortable. Some of the decor needs a little tlc. Torn curtain for example. Bed very comfortable!Rooms: 4/5
We call in regularly for lunch in the bar. It never fails. Tastes great, good portions and they usually have great deals on too. Would recommend to anyone.Service: 5/5
Went for carvery new years day and we were booked in for 2.45pm which was the back end of the carvery and was disappointed at the lack of starters. We paid the same as everyone else but got poor starters. The carvery main was excellent and so was the desserts, apart from the lack of custard and ice cream. Overall i will go back there, but book for an earlier time.
Wonderful experience. Karen and Ceara were the best hosts anyone could wish for. Highly recommend the royal when coming to Cookstown.
Great food, lovely place . Friendly staffRooms: 5/5
Only 4 stars due to not knowing what their rooms are like...was at a murder mystery night..I'm disabled but I was treated like royalty the young lady who was looking after the tables for calling them for getting their food then asked me what I would like and brought it over for me ...and the food ..that was excellent...I honestly don't have a bad word about this place and would recommend them to anyone..that said and with them being in the town ..parking is on street..but that's it...
Christmas Dinner was beautiful, portions were a hearty size. Service was first class. Staff were friendly and attentive.Service: 5/5
Always a good tasty Sunday Lunch. Roast Beef was melt in the mouth as always. Very generous portions - dinner like mum used to make. Staff friendly and very accommodating. It never disappoints.
The hallway had like a weird smell leading up to the rooms and it felt like tour in an old block of flats rather than a hotel. Wallpaper was coning off the wall also and not just a little. Luckily when we stayed we went to the fright night in Moneymore so we didn't spend much time in the hotel. The service was amazing they went above and beyond and I'd say the best thing about here is the gorgeous fresh cooked breakfast in the morning. They carpark is very small but you can park outside the hotel if you wish the carpark is free so you can't expect much if your not getting charged for it. Well be back to do fright night next Halloween but doubt we'll stay here, just a shame the rooms were a bit of a let down with the weird smell I think it was to do with the carpet as it looked quite dirty. We had dinner there too it was OK and just to let you know it didn't bother us because we weren't above it but some of the rooms are right above were the dj plays so rooms 1-4 I'd say you'll hear the music until 1.30am just a warning incase you don't want to hear that. But overall it was a good night because of the fright night but I probably wouldn't stay again unfortunately.
Fantastic mother's Day carvery never seen one like this before remarkable & so tasty Food & drinks: Absolutely incredible food .
