Today I went again to order medicines as I've had numerous problems with obtaining my pills since I joined the practice. I did have a conversation with them last November which i had hoped would sort out the problem but it is still a cause of stress and today anger as the comments made by the staff member made me feel very angry. The brief time I was with another practice I had no problems with the practice or the chemist and ordering my pills when I worked abroad was so easy but at Rothbury I'm confused as to why it's so problematic. I told my neighbours about this mornings visit and they advised me to complain but perhaps the person had a bad day or maybe working at the practice is not good so I'll just think and pray about it.
Always seen to have issues when ordering medication. Firstly a receptionist calls me to say unless I get in touch with the consultant they will no longer issue a medication unless it's in writing. She had the letter in front of her but had not read it properly as another receptionist confirmed. I hadn't even order that medication. Then at the same time they didn't order what I requested and as a carer unable to go out to then collect the corrected meds my father was expected to go with out vital meds for a week. Still waiting for the practice manager to contact me after 2 complaints and 2 calls. Very uncaring when it came to this situation. Sadly this was not tge only time errors have been made when ordering medication it happens regularly. It's no joke it needs sorted

Having avoided the place at all costs for years due to the poor & inadequate service they give, unfortunately I've been forced to interact with them again. At least previously you might have seen the same dr and know who they were, now its a stream of unfeeling uncaring robotic locums and trainees and disinterested doing the bare minimum qualifieds.
Always get a quick response - telephone call backs are quick, appointments straight away if an emergency, anything else manage to get a timely appointment. Majority of the reception staff are helpful and go beyond their role to assist. From conversations with friends and family I feel very grateful for the service we have.
