A wonderful weekend.
We booked the rose and crown for a 2 night stay including breakfast on both days and a meal on our first night.
On entering the hotel via the car park situated around the back, we got a lovely homely feeling, various seating, books to read, court yard which will be amazing in the summer, it was easy to find reception where we were greeted by the lovely managerial couple, we were given all the information needed, times for breakfast and dinner and where our room was situated, on the way to our room we were in ore of the historic building, our room was home away from home and a lovely shower room.
Dinner was amazing and presentation on point.
Breakfast was also on point, waitresses were very polite and friendly, also as the bar manager, lovely man, very conversational.
All in all, we were made to feel very welcome, and nothing was too much to ask.
I will definitely be back in the warmer weather.

Visited the hotel and are in the Swan bar. Carvery now also operating. New Staff at bar still learning procedures.
Experienced member of staff operating carvery. Choice of three meats. Generous portions. Very nice food. Pity they don’t stock more British cider and beer.
Outside area head been resurfaced and looks nice although the furniture is an odd colour not really in keeping with the rest of the hotel. 
Overall a much better run operation although can’t comment about rooms as we didn’t stay overnight.
Looking forward to returning.
They do offer  some vegetarian options but vegans might need to check ahead.

Cheaper Rooms are a bit sparse and you might need to pop the kettle on the floor to reach a plug extension as we did... I would bring your own milk as we only had 1 between us.  However the hotel itself is a lovely period building complete with 400 year old wonky stairs and the staff were lovely. So mixed impression left in us really.

well it's a hotel on the countryside of England. If you don't know how does it looks - do not come here.
Really. I do not mean that there is something wrong with the hotel, I am just saying that there's not much thing around.
oh yeah, and the hotel is just... meh.
