Full disclosure, this is my Dad's shop. So hard not to be biased! But a little back story about the family that runs this little gem... My Dad has worked this shop for more than 25 years (probably 28 as he's been doing it for longer than I have been around!) and has been in the family since my Grandad started it... My mum and dad have been working the shop together for some years now and blood, sweat and tears go into this shop to give their customers the best service, value and quality. Local loyal customers will tell you as such. The fish and chips is second to none and whenever I am home, I will always try to grab a few chips. More if I can! If you are reading this as a first time visitor to New Romney and the Marsh, you will not be disappointed by this place. As shown in the picture, it can get very busy at peak times on a Friday and Saturday afternoon/evening so you may need to wait for your fish to be freshly cooked (especially haddock and plaice) but the queues reflect how busy it can be, not the length of the wait! Hope that helps :)

I'm a Geordie working down here and staying in New Romney and this is the best Fish & Chip shop in Kent in my opinion. The food is gorgeous, always fresh, the service is quick and the staff always have a smile on their face. Top notch 10/10

This is the best fish and chips on the marsh. Staff friendly. Miss Aaron though 😔

Best fish and chips. Ever... There is always a queue, very good prices too. This is our preferred place, even though it is a 30 minute drive.
