First time we have been and very impressed. Great meal and great choices. The sweet menu was really great and made the meal. Service was excellent and the staff very attentive. All meals came out together with no gap in service. Thanks for a great afternoon we will be back.
Delightful! Staff are superb, surroundings in the restaurant and lovely and comfortable and the upstairs cocktail bar should not be missed at 2-4-1 £10! They catered for our 'non dairy' requirements but didn't skimp on flavour. Presentation of food is wonderful too. Highly recommended and will be our definite ' go to' local restaurant in future!
My partner and I enjoyed a few delicious tapas for lunch today. Really liked the decor and the layout. Excellent presentation and very tasty food. Generous portions and very good value. Lovely Italian Sauvignon blanc reasonably priced. Would highly recommend. Will definetely be back!
Decided to go for a Mother’s Day meal Saturday night instead of Sunday and booked on line. The restaurant was very busy when we got there which is always a good sign. I had Chicken Livers to start and Lamb Shank, plus a trio of pudding to finish off a beautiful meal. My wife’s dinner of Calimari, And Sea Bass was equally perfect so too was my son’s Stuffed Vine Leaves and Salmon. He also had the same over indulgent pudding as me. We enjoyed a beautiful meal which was great value for money. Only one criticism, which is not really a criticism, the starters were too large and could have been classed as a main course. A fantastic experience and a definite repeat date is on the cards.
Every about our evening meal here was fantastic in all respects! Will be back again soon and recommend to all ! Great food , great service, very nice people.... many thanks see you soon
Chose the Robin for the venue for people to gather and eat after my mum's funeral. Jan made it a very welcoming place to be. The food was amazing and everyone commented so. Thanks to Jan and his great, polite staff.
Took my family here on a Sunday for a spot of late lunch as we were in the area and had heard good things about the place. Upon arriving the place has a nice exterior with a small beer garden to the side and spaces for cars at the front. Within, nicely done place with a restaurant area to the left and the main bar area to the right. We were greeted by a friendly member of staff as we went in and went for the bar area as we had our 5 yr old twins with us. The bar itself is fairly contemporary but still maintains a country pub atmosphere, and has plenty of comfortable seating. Drinks wise there was a standard array of the ales lagers wines and spirits so should cover most needs. So onto the food. There's a good range of food both for adults and children, some pub fayre as you would expect but some very nice sounding sandwich choices too. They also have a specials selection, and they do 2 course deals between certain times. As it was Sunday however, we went for the roast and on those occasion it was beef. Again on a Sunday you can do a 2 course deal on roasts if you want to build a starter in too. There was a reasonable wait for the food which was fine and the food when it came was well presented. It was a roast as you would expect with all the usual trimmings but served in a slightly more contemporary way... it was still a good size portion though! Taste wise, delicious, well seasoned good cut of beef, all fresh ingredients as you would hope. The children's food was also a good size, chicken nuggets were would we be without them?! Good portion and well cooked, chippy style chips perfect!. Our other littlen had a kids roast which was literally a mini version of ours. Horseradish was offered which is a small touch oft forgotten elsewhere so that was another plus. The place is pretty easily reached via Eccleston village, about 2 mins in the car tops. Overall then a great visit and would definitely like to go again and try more off the menu. Highly recommend
Starter of blue cheese mushrooms was tasty. Main meal of lamb and chicken was dished with rice with no sauce, very dry indeed. The chicken skewers were dry and tasteless. The lamb was good. Very expensive food that you could better at home.
Went here for lunch. Very quiet even though it was a Saturday. Had the tapas which was great. 3 tapas dishes lunch time deal for just over £10 was also really good value.
Food gorgeous. If I was to be picky, the staff could be more attentive, checking if the meal is okay and whether we would like another drink. But that's the only negative I can find.
