Visited a friend who had moved to Bromley recently. We fancied some good food but reasonably priced, so we looked for a wetherspoon pub. We found the Richmal Crompton. What a discovery! I ordered spicy grilled chicken with salad. I was served within 10 minutes and the chicken was perfectly cooked: the breast was juicy and the leg was tender. The salad, dressing and sauces complemented the chicken. The refillable mug of coffee was the icing on the cake. All that for £8. My friend and I agreed to revisit the pub very soon for more tasty experiences.
Huge Wetherspoons pub, the largest in the area. Modern building but good decor. The usual good range of beers and the food is standard Wetherspoons fare. Near a large car park if driving. I rate it as the best Spoons in the area.
Awful... Ordered a portion of halloumi. It came with 4 tiny sticks ? This shouldn't even be considered a portion. Good for drinks only.
Not the best spoons I've been in. Chicken burger was tough and cold. Chips were cold and soggy. Meal was replaced and was much better. I had to ask 3 different members of staff though until somebody eventually took it away. Young lad was friendly and cleaned the table and asked how it was. Prices have increased slightly but that's to be expected in this day and age. Plenty of tables to choose from. Would visit again if in Bromley.
Friendly staff and quick service. Unfortunately food came out with missing item. Quickly rectified. Unfortunately friends food was sent back as the bread bun fell apart and chicken tough. Replaced and much better. Good atmosphere. But weird prices.
Well liked as busy, still room for more. Our plates good, battered chicken with dip and chips very nice. One in party had festive meal, did not look very festive, not worth price. Puddings good
You get what you pay for. This is fine for cheap drinks and plenty of space if you want to sit down and eat too. Was better 20 years ago. Same fish in the female toilets from back then, just shows how dated it is.
It's quite a place. We ate and drank there and the service by means of the App was outstanding. Good choice of beers and other drinks. Access inside is good and buses and trains are just outside.
Cheap and basic food and drink. Can order at the bar or by the app, which is more convenient. Very popular when I visited on a Monday lunchtime during half term.
Typical Wetherspoons. Used to be a lot cheaper a few years ago.
