Excellent location, conveniently situated just off the market Square in Ely, with a good view of the cathedral from the garden. The tea room upstairs on the ground floor is cute but has very limited seating. Downstairs is much more spacious & atmospheric. Food was very tasty & surprisingly filling with a good selection of options and daily specials available.
Arrived on a Saturday lunchtime and had to wait a while before we got a table...but this can only be a good sign right? So defo book if you have an older person with you or it is a chilly day! Food was well worth the wait and would defo be back...but will book next time!Food: 4/5
Lovely tea rooms just outside the cathedral grounds with great views of the cathedral itself. Busy, we had a short wait before claiming an outside table. There were seats available indoors too. Food was tasty and service friendly.
Absolutely lovely stop for lunch or tea. It had ample seating indoors and outdoors outdoors with a beautiful view of the cathedral, and good food portions for moderate price.
very good dining choice in Ely. Good service and nice environment. very clean everywhere. with the additional exhibition make more meaningful to the dining experience.Food: 5/5
A relaxed and beautiful place for lunch or afternoon tea over looking the cathedral and on the High Street. The afternoon tea was tasty and filling, unlimited tea or/and coffee.Food: 4/5
Was absolutely starving so popped in here for some lunch. What a great place! Staff were friendly, food was excellent, service was good. For lunch I had the pulled pork in a brioche bun with apple chutney and salad, a coke, and homemade apple and blackberry pie....yummy!! My partner loved his lunch too!! Left feeling very happy and, more importantly, full!! Was worth every penny!! Kid-friendliness: There were a few kids in here who were eating what was on their plate!!! As we know...that's a first!!! : Parking: Just down the road, free parking
This is a wonderful spot for lunch or just a cuppa. I'm keen to go back for afternoon tea. We were seated outside and it was just lovely. It took a bit long for our order to be taken and for our bill not for lack of trying to flag someone down, but the overall atmosphere made of for that. We will definitely go back.
Wonderful hidden restaurant in the cathedral grounds. Picture window view of the cathedral. Very polite and attentive staff. Lovely pot of tea, freshly made sandwich for me and a fruit scone for the wife. Will defo visit again
Lovely tearoom serving delicious food and friendly service. We shared a prawn with lemon mayonnaise sandwich which came with crisps & salad and scones with jam & cream and tea for two. Everything was lovely. Definitely recommend.
